Why I hate canada

This free healthcare shit is for the birds.
First of all it's not free, more like a gimmick, we just pay for it in a different way.

God help anyone in my province that needs medical attention, sitting in outpatients or at a clinic consumes your whole day.

Doctors have to move because we have so many people addicted to pain killers that they stalk/threaten to kill doctors when they refuse to prescribe them anymore. 10,000 people, 3 fucking doctors.

We now have security guards/bouncers at our local health clinic.

That is all for now, oh wait, it's too fucking cold here too.

CDSmith 05-18-2005 06:30 AM

Move somewhere with a higher population than three.

The wait in Winnipeg Emergency rooms isn't that bad, and if you need a three-month-long stay in the hospital like my mom did last year, nothing beats walking out on your day of discharge with a bill for $0.00. That same stay in the US would have run our family tens of thousands of dollars.

videoxpix 05-18-2005 06:30 AM

HAte is a strong word, but I am really pissed at the Canadian Fuckers in Ontario who are dupping & selling my DVDs. We ARE comming to get you motherfucker. There is such a thing as copyright law in Canada too, eh?

chadglni 05-18-2005 06:34 AM

lmao @ videopix
I can go break some legs if you want, I'm bored today...

and you're right CDSmith.. I should've chose a better title...

If there are any single woman that like to have lots of sex, are US residents, and lookin for a sugar dady or teddy bear to bed with at night hit me up, I need to get me some US citizenship, bonus points if you're located in Florida.

I'm 25 with boyish good looks and I like being controlled. If interested please let me know. Sense of humour is a plus as well.

You gotta admit tho', Canada has a much better national anthem than the US.
The Rush version of "Oh Canada" rocks.

I'll get insurance? I don't care about paying for healthcare, as long as I can get healthcare, shit I'd pay extra to get in the express lane.

I know who they are, as do my attorneys. We will get these fuckers! They are seeling my product in stores in Toronto for 9.00 Canadian. This is sigificantly hurting my business in Ontario, as my wholesalers & distributors are paying 10-12 US.

We are planning on having a studio roundtable at the Bellagio, during the VSDA show in Vegas in July, to put up a unified front, and to pool our resources to prosecute these scumbags. Anybody who has any interest in attending this meeting, please drop me a line.

Have you ever been outside of PEI, or is your opinion of Canada solely based on your experience in PEI? You don't have private hospitals out there? Believe me, moving to the States is not the answer, well not while Dubya is in power, besides, there are a lot of Provinces in Canada that could perhaps suit you better.

I'm not looking for a teddy bear or sugar daddy but if you want to come and do my laundry and make me dinner that's fine! LOL

HarrytheNazi 05-18-2005 07:59 AM

without hockey...not much of a country.

Kevsh 05-18-2005 08:01 AM

My first bit of advice is: MOVE THE F**K OUT OF PEI ... this is like the Delaware of Canada or the Gulag of Russia.

Maybe if you lived in a decent part of Canada you'd see things better?

:Oh crap

I've been too a few provinces yes, but I like warm weather, american money, and the national anthem, and hey I'd be an extra anti-bush citizen, so someone marry me already, I'd make a good husband, gimme a call if you wanna get to know me 902-856-1146, I don't do bbw, and people usually like me (in real life anyway) so let's start courting.. unless you're already married of course.

sherie 05-18-2005 08:07 AM

LOL I am Canadian and don't see why anyone would want to move to the States, but good luck with your quest to find a wife.

Those fuckers are getting them from other fuckers in the USA ( read your wholesalers ... ).... It's called dumping ...

Unless they are replicated illegally ... but I doubt it, since it would cost more 5than getting the real ones ...

ColBigBalls 05-18-2005 08:13 AM

I know alot of people complain about the "Wait" in canada for health care.. and i agree alot could be done about it, but at least EVERYONE can get it. Waiting months for tests or hours in emerg sucks yes... but at least everyone can get care. My Father last year had to wait in hospital for more then a month for triple bypass, but at least he got it. Canada may have some problems and yes health care has issues, but there are alot worse places in the world to live.

The real term, that is officially used , is:

UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE

ie: available to everyone, without distinction of your financial situation ....

But the system is not perfect.

How about $150k.

chadglni 05-18-2005 08:17 AM

ColBigBalls:

You have a great point there, and I agree with you 100%
No one gets turned away, just sometimes you end up with a long ass wait.. but that's better than dying on the street.

Rush Version???? Got a link?????

BigRod 05-18-2005 08:19 AM

If you need high quality health care fly to the US and buy it!

They don't care where you live as long as you come with your wallet!

chadglni 05-18-2005 08:19 AM

I agree with a lot of points in this thread, unless you've got lots of money the Canadian Health Care system is superb as opposed to the USA.

I probably came down too hard with that post I made, just pissed about some recent trips to see the doc. But yes, in canada we are lucky to have universal healthcare.

Something like that, yes.

I've seen others on this board criticizing Canada's health care system in the past, and all I can say is whatever works for you. Me, I like it just fine that if I ever need to I can head over the emergency room at St. B or the Vic or HSC etc and, if my problem has any sort of high priority I will be seen either immediately or in less than an hour usually.

And... no matter how long my stay is.... 2 hours or two years..... my bill is $0.00.... and the level of health care is as good or better than anywhere else in the world. Hard to beat it.

DomBuyer 05-18-2005 08:24 AM

Get your head out of you ass and travel a bit.

A recent CBC documentary found that many Americans are paying a full 40% of the their monthly take home pay on health care.

Do the math: that's $800 on $2k take home for people earning a measly $24k a year.

The U.S. has lots of advantages over Canada, but health care ain't one of them.

Unless you're rich, and then it's all well and good.

Your bill is $0.00 but the actual bill still gets paid, unless of course doctors and nurses and staff are all volunteers...so indirectly everyone pays for healthcare, it's just a little more fair for less fortunate people that need medical attention.

eg. No one gets turned away for being broke or having no insurance

Is this a correct assumption?
