God Damnit ... I just went and picked up lunch at McDonald's and completely forgot it's 49 cent cheeseburger day. well.. I ordered a two cheeseburger "extra value" meal and paid $4.19 for it. the same price as it is EVERY OTHER DAY OF THE WEEK. those fuckin pricks didn't bother to give me the burgers for 50 cents, instead charged me however much they were normally. Granted I'm the dipshit for not remembering, but they're bastards for knowingly screwing me:-D

I managed for Taco Bell for 6 years ran two stores and had what was called a 2 in 1 (2 franchises in 1 store).

Anyway this was back in the 90's and we sold a large soda for 99 cents cost to Taco Bell less than 15 cents and that included the cup...that's where they recoup a lot of costs.

I would never wish restaraunt management on any of my enemies especially fast food management.

People who would act civil returning a $150 VCR to Best Buy that didn't work properly were ready to jump across the counter to beat some pimply faced 16 year old's ass for accidentally putting onions on their 59 cent burrito.

I grew up in Midland, Ontario, where the PILSBURY plant that makes Totino's Pizzas is located (That is that plant's main line ...).

I had a friend that worked there ... and I used to get a CASE of those pizzas (pepperoni,deluxe,super ... didn't matter) for like $15

I used to work at McD when fries were made with fresh potatoes, before apple pies, filet-o-fish, or Big Macs.

Their sales pitch was burger, fries, and a coke for under $1.00

You could not eat in a McDonalds, you had to eat in your car or on their patio. No inside seating. Had to tough it out in heat and rain.

it's amazing how much of a bitch inflation is. Back when they first started the extra value meals I remember they were like 2.49 and for several years i was sure that those fucks used the 2.49 to get people in the door, and then they slowly ratcheted the cost up to 4.79 a few years later in order to make some good cash over a long term habit that people had established. but if you calculate that shit out ... it IS just inflation of 4% per year. fucked UP.

Yeah just wait til you see the cross bills they are doing on those damn McFreezie things ;)
