Who's Warren Assosc. LLP? We just got a bankruptcy notice from them. Anyone else?

According to their notice the total value of their assets is 1000 dollars. I can't remember who it is but you never know the way people use company names in this business.

jawanda 05-17-2005 01:12 PM

no idea, but here's a bump for ya rick.

tony286 05-17-2005 01:22 PM

I googled came up with nada

WiredGuy 05-17-2005 01:26 PM

Based on this Google search (Thanks Google!), it seems they're somewhat related to Globill:

Manowar 05-17-2005 02:10 PM

I remember someone on here a while back mentioning they were Globill, or involved with globill. So probably something to do with that

The Other Steve 05-17-2005 02:36 PM

The people behind Globill were named Warren. They have been bankrupt for some time and just recently attempted to be released from their bankruptcy but their application was rejected.

Rick Latona 05-17-2005 02:37 PM

Well, apparently Globill claims to have 2 Dell PCs and 2 monitors.

I think it is funny as hell....and kinda sad too....but what makes it even more saddening is that the next time some "billing company" comes along with 2 Dell PC's and 2 Monitor's and spends some time posting on GFY trying to convince people that they are the real deal even more of the GFY Sheep Heard will follow them to the slaughter.

Just my $.02

I couldn't agree more.

BTW. what kinda deal you think we can get on those Dell's Rick?? :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Drake 05-18-2005 06:58 AM

I'm sure they're doing just fine, but on paper for legal reasons, yeah... they only have $1k and a few computers.

It's just legal bs. If I recall correctly the Warren's are a married couple, both of them accountants with 15+ years of experience each. They know how to cook the books. Companies that have millions go bankrupt all the time... they just don't have the millions in that particular company anymore.

No doubt. Third party billing is just hard. There is no other way to describe it. I think most of these companies had the best intention but in the end just couldn't pull it off.

That story was awesome, read it before. Was like watching a soap on tv.

Anyway, any news on this? We received this notice as well and this week also a notice on authorising sale of the estate's claims... or something.

As we are not really experts on the US bankruptcy laws: what's next? Never getting paid after all? Does anyone of you know?

The Other Steve 05-31-2005 02:49 AM

The short answer is that you can forget about getting any money.

The fact is that they weren't as smart as they thought they were - and as you seem to think they are. That's why they're still bankrupt - the Court decided that they weren't completely honest when they filed all the paperwork that was required when they originally went bankrupt and refused to release them.

I think that it is fairly certain that they don't have any money stashed away anywhere because if they did the brothers who originally put them into bankruptcy would have found it and they haven't.

Yeah that was what I'm afraid of. Thanks.

Naive and highly enthusiastic as I am I will keep on filling out those forms. I have nothing to do anyway (ahem) and who knows, maybe one day we will be able to buy popsicles for everyone in the office.

$1,001,000 in assets
$1,000,000 in liabilities

...gives you a net worth of $1,000.

Their situation could be something like that..

That's true. And just cause a company goes bellyup doesn't mean much these days. You often see them back in biz again under a new name.
