Camcorder Recommendations?
 

Please recommend a camcorder in the -$500 and -$1000 price ranges...capable of making dvd quality vids and able to compensate for imperfect lighting...

Hello,

I bought myself Panasonic MX-350 over 4 months ago and it rocks!!! It's a mini-dv camera though, so you'll need a video editing software to convert videos to DVD.
However, the quality will be way better than on those cams that record directly to a DVD disc.

And.. This piece of equipment is VERY good at recording in dark environment.
