DarkJedi 05-16-2005 01:05 PM

so do i.. but for most people, they eventually begin to "Grow" in a sense and it causes a lot of pain because they push like fuck against the other teeth and shifts them out of place. atleast that's the impression i have.

flirty 05-16-2005 01:07 PM

i have...cant remember exactly how long but i bet it took me awhile...ALL FUCKED UP

mindoza 05-16-2005 01:08 PM

first week is bad....after that it is sore and hard to eat certain things for another week or so

chupachups 05-16-2005 01:09 PM

yeah...mine's still complete too :thumbsup

GirlV 05-16-2005 01:15 PM

I was back at work in 2 days after. had all 4 cut out.

dennisthemenace 05-16-2005 01:18 PM

Had all four done - went surprisingly well. I've heard so many bad stories but honestly I'd do it again today without even thinking about it. Had some swelling for a couple days and had to be smart about eating certain things.

Your results may vary.

yeah my gf got all 4 of hers cut out this morning.

ShellyCrash 05-16-2005 01:25 PM

Mine went really bad- I was out of comission for 4 whole days, and I had moderate swelling and bad bruising for another 4 more.

I was a dificult case though, the teeth weren't through the gum, so they cut through the sides of my mouth where the cheek meets the gum and dug them out. :(

Chio The Pirate 05-16-2005 01:25 PM

YARGH! I just had mine done on Tuesday of last week. Not much pain but still having trouble eating anything crunchy.

Claude 05-16-2005 01:27 PM

All 4 here,
upper ones went fine, not that big of a problem and not much pain.
Lower ones was terrible, lot of pain for a week

I got all four of mine pulled at the same time in the morning and ate Subway for lunch. It was more the medication that they gave me than anything that made me sick. I remember puking and being out of it for a day or two. :2 cents:

Tera 05-16-2005 01:30 PM

I had all four pulled at the same time. Mine actually went really well I didn't feel much pain or swelling. I smoke but I quit for a bit just to help with the healing and so I didnt get dry sockets. I was sooo scared but it all went well.

The Heron 05-16-2005 01:33 PM

Was a pain for me, hit a nerve when they did it and half my lower jaw is still numb a year later. I think it's mostly a scam to get your money.

HarrytheNazi 05-16-2005 01:35 PM

...so much pain.

wdsguy 05-16-2005 01:35 PM

2 days tops

Sarah_Jayne 05-16-2005 01:40 PM

I had one out and am due to have the other three out at some point in the near future. I wasn't put under and I was okay in a couple days. I was pretty drugged up though.

SmokeyTheBear 05-16-2005 01:41 PM

lol some people must have shitty dentists..

Half the people had extreme pain half say not a problem.

I had a bit of pain , but not bad for a day then sensitive gums for a few days , and thats it..

ShellyCrash 05-16-2005 01:49 PM

I think it just depends- some people can get them out by having their dentist simply pull a tooth, others have to get their mouth cut open by an oral surgeon. I think that makes the difference.

Sosa 05-16-2005 01:53 PM

I'm getting mine out in July. Hopefully all goes good.

runaway 05-16-2005 07:34 PM

lucky for me mind grew out and didnt affect me at all

SinSational 05-16-2005 07:37 PM

couple days. i had like 6 taken out so i could get braces or something when i was younger. they put me under so it wasn't that bad.

Spunky 05-16-2005 07:37 PM

I had 2 of them yanked and about 2 weeks..they weren't impacted

After Shock Media 05-16-2005 07:38 PM

4 out and was fine next day.
It was the waiting to eat certain stuff that drove me nuts.

Triple 6 05-16-2005 07:38 PM

i had 1 pulled last week, it was reallyyyyy bothering me. The procedure took probably 30 seconds and i didnt feel a damnnnnnnn thing.

Amputate Your Head 05-16-2005 07:41 PM

had all 4 taken out about 18 years ago. I don't remember what it was like because that was a long fucking time ago.

TexasDreams 05-16-2005 07:46 PM

I was back at work after two days, but the pain lasted for a few weeks. The top two were a breeze, bottom two were severly impacted. The were coming in at about a 45-degree angle forward. The bottoms had to be "sectioned". Fancy term for being shattered with a hammer and chisel and then they picked out the fragments. :Oh crap

the Shemp 05-16-2005 07:47 PM

i have wooden teeth...

Babagirls 05-16-2005 07:49 PM

im thankful that i have perfect teeth...never needed braces, never got any cavitys, my wisdom teeth came in fine.

StickyGreen 05-16-2005 07:57 PM

i have an appointment on june 6th to get all 4 removed. they're all fully impacted and fucked up! shit's gonna suck...at least i get vicodin though...

Shooter 05-16-2005 10:11 PM

Bout 3-4 days...honestly the worst part was changing the sick bloodstained gauze. Was under during the operation and the pain afterwards wasn't bad at all even without pain pills.

mardigras 05-17-2005 11:44 AM

I had the lower right one pulled last Friday. A piece of the root broke off in there and the infection/swelling is finally coming down with antibiotics. I was doing OK with eating a little light stuff on the other side until I had an allergic reaction to the pain medicine (we think) 4 days ago and I have been fighting off major fever blisters. Yesterday was the first time I was able to manage to eat anything since Saturday.:(

If anyone was wondering why my posting has been very little for the last week and a half that is it.

The one right above it was pulled a couple years ago and I was fine the next day.

tranza 05-17-2005 11:47 AM

It took me 4 days for the REAL pain to pass.

1 week to start eating solid food again.

:(

born 05-17-2005 11:49 AM

just a couple of days... no smoking though.

Drake 05-17-2005 11:49 AM

All mine are intact :)

i had all 4 removed quite some time ago, and even back then recovery was quick. with todays medicine you should have no problem.

Shortbread 05-17-2005 12:02 PM

I was bruised all to hell and I lost feeling on one side of my face. They said they had hit a nerver during surgery and there was a chance I would never re-gain any feeling. Luckily after about 3 weeks the feeling came back.

When they grow in if you dont have enough room in your mouth they can start pushing your other teeth out of the way and cause problems.. also they dont always grow straight up...

I had the bottom two removed myself.. top 2 havent been an issue.

eamedia 05-17-2005 12:19 PM

i have, for the vicoden, and it took about 3 to 4 days to recover.....

Screaming 05-17-2005 12:24 PM

i had my back left wisdom tooth pulled not to long ago, make sure you take pain pills well before the numbing medicine wears off

AD19 05-17-2005 12:44 PM

i had all 4 of mine taken out. not to bad. sore for 2-3 days but it takes a while for the wholes to fill up.

I'll never forget it, I was getting out of the Army, so I decided to have it done, while it was free of charge for me!

I was in pain for a week, my face was swollen and in pain.

But they gave me some cool pain killers!

:pimp
