Buying wine over net now legal SC says.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Wine lovers may buy directly from out-of-state vineyards, the Supreme Court ruled Monday, striking down laws banning a practice that has flourished because of the Internet and growing popularity of winery tours.

Yep, great news. 24 states were banning customers from ordering out of state, yet not blocking their own state wines from being shipped out of state. Jerks, lol.

i order boxes of cris and la grande dame off wine.com

eventually people are going to realize that they cannot really regulate the internet. it seems silly to me to tell a consumer that they cannot order what they like off the internet. the government needs to get rid of it's hard on to be involved in every aspect of our lives.
this is good news though, i'm sure there are many, many types of wine i should try now. |
Perhaps this is good news for our industry too. If the SC can logically figure out the states can't regulate other states when it comes to wine maybe they'll use the same logic with porn and get rid of this silly "community standards" BS.

sounds good to me
