Blogs for SEO....Blogger or Wordpress?
 

One of the benefits of blogs is that they are spidered everyday. From this aspect are you any better off with something like blogger? Or better off with Wordpress where you have a lot more freedom?

if you're using wordpress, make sure you configure your 'permalinks' for SEO-friendly urls.

Ummm.. I have sites that get spydered hourly... It has nothing to do with your blogging software and everything to do without your inbound links.

I started another WP blog hosted on my own box on May 3 and so far:

Why when it has an important feature the others dont have.

Yes I really want to waste endless cycles interpreting and decoding just to dish up a few pics and some text. Some things can?t live without dynamic activity but blogs sure can.

If you update them, the spiders will come.

Anyone that is interested in SEO certainly isn't going to send their traffic to someone else, and that is what you are doing with blogger.

Besides, blogger has the nofollow tag on comments and trackbacks, so it really makes it so no one is going to be inclined to give you the extra activity. :2 cents:

Put it this way, I may trackback to someone that is using WordPress with the dofollow tag plugin, whereas I will never trackback to someone with the nofollow tag.

did we ever talk about syndicating your RSS feed on HornyBloggers? for some reason i'm thinking we did. if not, do you want to?

i don't have mine set up that way and it is working just fine, i get crawled all the time and have their standard urls set up...in fact, i am #1 rank for more than one term on one of my blogs
