BLUEWIRE.COM >>>What do you think its worth to us?

Hey everyone,
My company Bluewire Studio is actively pursuing bluewire.com

My question to all you domain name guys out there is...How much do you think its worth? I know part of this question is what is it worth to me and my company....But I'd like to get your opinions on the market value.

I gave a starting offer of 300 just to get the ball rolling and they said that they said:

'thanks for the offer. An interesting offer will be 4-5 digits. '

I know part of this is just playing the game...but i'd really appreciate everyone's input. Thanks :thumbsup

Not worth it. Bluewirestudio is fine. IMO

I agree ...the domains you use now are fine ... your not looking for type in traffic ..and everyone in the industry knows your current domains ..

BlueWire 05-14-2005 09:40 PM

Yes...if they actually think its worth that much they're dreaming i think....but i figure that they're just playing the game. I know that its not a necessity...but it sure would be nice to people to just hear bluewire and be able to type in the dot com

4-5 digits? haha, they must be on crack

$500 tops, and ONLY because you have the blue wire name already

BlueWire 05-14-2005 09:47 PM

I guess part of the reason i'm researching this is because of the fast growth of the company and so in the long term it might be good investment...but only at the right price of course

not for 4-5 figures though...LOL

I wouldn't bother to be honest. The more interested you seem, the more they'll want for it. There's nothing wrong with the domains your using now.

For all intensive purposes...we're mainstream too :thumbsup

...Now that doesnt mean we dont dabble in adult :winkwink: We go where the best opportunities are. 80% of the time those are mainstream...but some good adult opporunties out there as well for us :thumbsup

pr0 05-14-2005 10:34 PM

dabble in adult :1orglaugh

you just signed some work with a friend of mine today ; )

Whats it worth to YOU? Though it may be worthless to everyone else on this board, if you think it is worth 4 digits, get it.

I am torn on buying a domin (main stream company sellin it) and they want $1000 for it. It's not worth that much, not even close... but I like it. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut regardless of what the masses say.

BlueWire.com will not have any type-ins but I think it's a cool domain. Though I wouldn't go hog wild on the spending for it.

rezdesign 05-14-2005 10:58 PM

my :2 cents: not worth it...

as someone may have already mentioned, your web design business will thrive on word of mouth referrals and search engines, not type-in traffic or radio spots where they will need to remember the domain name...

Just saying...most our work is mainstream :thumbsup

If someone needs some adult work though...we're not one to turn it down :thumbsup

Also with our adult-software such as cam2cam pay2play stuff often people want us to do designs with them. We have adult experience and we do adult....but just have more mainstream clients. :upsidedow

4-5 digits seems fine.

Did you email them as BlueWire Studios? This could be why they're asking for 4-5 figures.
If you are anticipating mass growth, I would high suggest paying up for the domain. Hire an intellectual property acquisition firm though. People like W7 Media specialize in the industry :)

Your domains are fine.

I would offer $500 if i wanted it and if I was really keen on it, I might offer $1100 tops but not more.

Steen...i dont suppose their is a coincidence that you're the only one who thinks it might be worth that much and you're the one that would profit from me using W7 Media to obstain it :winkwink:

Just kidding :1orglaugh Thanks for the information
