yeah I tried them and they shaved like 30%..I started using http://www.realbigcash.com for this past month and already got a check with 100% credits for my hits... just thought id let yah know.

I'll give you two guesses ...

if a company's NAME even contains the word "offshore" ... don't you think they are at least a little shady? I mean .. sponsors WITHIN the US shave 17 to 30% ... how much do you think someone shaves that doesn't have to worry about being sued?

I check the out clicks from my cj admin that tell me how many clicks/hits were sent to offshore, then I check offshores stats & they are not even close..
It's more like 50%..
But, someone told me that offshore only counts 2nd page clicks..
So, I'm not even sure myself..
I'm just going to try another per click program?
I also wondered if it was due to the changed link..
By adding the out.php? etc at the end of the link??

Offshoreclicks and other reputable sponsors do not shave. The "everyone shaves" thing is a myth created by paranoid webmasters who aren't making as much as they used to with their TGP traffic.

Everyone who claims so and so shaves NEVER seems to back up their claims with actual FACTS or evidence that could suggest that.

The reason why offshoreclicks appears to count less than your server stats is because most exit sponsors only count traffic if the surfer (and rightfully so) lets the page fully load.

Actually I did try out Offshore clicks after some friends of mine complained of them shaving..me and my ad team originally built tracking software from an ad firm...So we decided to use our software (targeting and tracking software similiar to mycomputer.com 's stats package) and compare the stats we had with that of offshore's. Thats when I noticed the 30% shaving..however I cant be concrete about that because of other external influences..

thats what I saw, thats why I said that.

However thats what also gave me the idea to work on http://www.realbigcash.com , which doesnt shave at all and offers exit consoles / blind clicks etc.

You have no proof what so ever that offshore shaves. Just because your dopey stats count differently than theirs does NOT mean they shave.
What it means is that you are clueless about traffic and will, in the end, close your program, cheat your webmasters, or both. No knowlegdable webmaster would send you traffic after exposing youself as someone unfamiliar with traffic.

jxl3046 - couldn't find any account with the info listed in your profile (searched on nic, ICQ info etc). If you like, give me your OC username and I'll be happy to dig up the stats along with the IP logs, ref pages etc and take a look.

If you were using the clicks program your stats are probably quite accurate actually - we pay for second page clicks so that would mean you got a 70% clickthrough ratio to second page, not too shabby. Other than that, good luck with your program champ.

spacedog: Yep, we pay for second page clicks, not first. And no, you can't link to the end-url (out.php etc), it has to pass through our gateways.

Other than that, How do we count hits? Well, I can't give away everything as it would open us up to cheaters, but lemme say this:

Imps & eXchange hits are successfully loaded consoles meeting the following criterias as being a "unique" hit:

1. The IP has not been recorded in our system since GMT midnight.
2. The browser does not have our 24 hour cookie present.
3. The browser is a mozilla type browser (sorry, lynx wont cut it http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/wink.gif
4. The surfers ISP is NOT located in China or Korea, determined by a realtime IP->GEO DB lookup.

Same goes for clicks, although here the same IP can click as many times as we have links on the gateway.
