So last week on my roadtrip to iowa, we chased a tornado, pics
 

seriously, for a good 30 minutes me and my fellow roadtrippers thought that we were going to go straight into a tornado that was starting to form. we were at the boarder of illinois and iowa and we were driving straight at it.

thanks to jesus it didnt touch down :helpme

usually tornadoes are part of a bigger cloud mass (IE. Thunderstorm) in most cases the tornado isn't the whole thing, if you know what i mean.

Ummmmm..... it wasn't even a funnel cloud or even trying to grow into a tornado. It was just a cloud. Tornados come from THUNDERSTORMS. Look around in that pic there is nothing but blue skies. there is no way that that was a tornado or even a pre-tornado or whatever you wish to call it. Nothing more than an interesting cloud formation. You were in no danger.

I am sure it is. I plan on renting a car, with full coverage for this adventure.
