Yeah, these nitro cars claim speeds of up to 100mph + after some mods. Out of the box most do 60.
I really can't wat to try this thing out myself. :D

I had an HPI Nitro with the M3 GTR body on it, fun car, but had problems with the throttle/brake control so I eventually sold it, but otherwise fun. Although to really maintain it requires a lot of work but if you get into it, its well worth the time I guess.

hm, i want one... how long does the gas last on these, any batteries involved?

the RC cars i played with when i was a kid ran out of batteries in 5 minutes of slow ass driving, and they had serious trouble on carpet... :disgust

btw some crazy news.

I took the car to the shop to get the car "tuned", and the guy wrecked it! Good thing it was the owner, and not only did he give me a brand new car, but he gave me about 400 bucks in upgrades. He personally "suped-up" the car right there. Said he added about a 1/2hp with the new exhaust, pipe, and air filter. What a good mishap! 8-)

Thanks guys... This thing is a LOT of fun. Last night I changed out the gears to give me more low end. This thing will do excess of 100+mph after the few mod's done.... So I figured I didn't need all that top end and would apply the power down low. :winkwink:

I haven't run it yet with the new setup... but I did buy some racing slicks and black rims.

Here's a pic of the finished Porshe body with the black rims.... I think it turned out "ok". Hopefully the next one will be much better. :upsidedow

My next project is painting yet another body. A "Saleene". I' accidently figured out how to do a chameleon type effect. The Saleene is going to look black, but when the sun hits it it will have flakes of metallic red in it. I'm excited to see how it turns out. I may even buy an airbrush setup and get REALLY detailed with some of the bodys.


I'll post up my results with the new body for yall when I'm done. :thumbsup
