Jupiter Hosting is looking for a team leader in the role of Software Development Manager. This is a hands on role which means that you will code as well as manage a team. We are looking for someone that can lead by example.

The right candidate will have experience building and writing in:

* PHP
* Perl
* C, C++
* Open Source Databases
* Closed Source Databases
* Writing high-volume transaction based systems
* QA Management
* Revision / Version Control

As a hands on team leader, we will expect you to be able to find and diagnose problems within code either written by a third party, or your own team. You must also hire a team capable of the same effort. Instill best practice software development procedures at all times, and have a touch of customer service savvy.

You must be able to work with U.S. based customers in identifying the needs of a project, build a scope of work, receive customer approval for work to proceed, and adhere to scheduling deadlines for that work.

You will be immediately tasked with setting up a development and revision control environment, and working with management to standardize on workflow procedure.


** Must be willing to be on-call.
** Must be at least 21 years of age.
** Must live in the Silicon Valley, California area.
** If applying as a Full Time Employee, this position must be your primary and only employment.
*** Must submit to a background check.
** Must be willing to work with customers who own and operate adult oriented websites.

big ray. just wondering how much does it pay. my friend use to work for you guys as a system admin. and he was getting peanuts :)

i would think as a company such as yourself you would be paying a bit higher than peanut salary espeically when rent is high in calif ;)

We're looking for a "work from home" software engineer to do some Windows media and VB work.
