Long question someone will get paid to answer.

OK - what I want to do (since I am such a lazy fucker and am tired of making new galleries every day for Russian & GASS) is make about 45 unique galleries as a template and have them autosubmitted in sequence daily. Then I can go in and change them whenever I want.... And can go on vacation without having to worry.

Probably will do this by using TGSW (unless there is something better.) Problem is the host I use for galleries does not support Perl. The host I use for everything else would have to run the script. That or I'll have to run it off the server here at the house (which I try not to do since it is Windows 2000 server and kind of tricky to install Perl scripts on.)

Question 1: Does TGSW take a lot of bandwidth to run itself? (not traffic from the galleries, just actual traffic generated by the submission process)

Question 2: Do I need the pro version (or even desktop version) to upload to another host - or can I run standard for that?

Question 3: Are there other programs out there other than TGSW that will do this?

Question 4: Has anyone had any real trouble with TGSW? My wife tells me about a lot of galleries submitted to the Scarab that come from TGSW and are missing lots of links and other stuff. Didn't know if that was user error or a problem with the program.

Spam me with your affiliate links to TGSW or whatever autosubmitter program you recomend - I will be buying something within the next couple of hours.

Thanks!!

Fuckit - why am I in here and not working?

P.S. I am also looking for a good counter program. One that does everything that PayCounter does, but without the banner. It would need to be able to track multiple pages and not cost more than a couple hundred bucks...

I never tried TGSW,
but look at http://69khz.tsx.to/
click on tools & there's an explanation of each submitter & a little bit of details..
As far as BW consumption goes, the submission process itself does not use any BW, just when you get visits from the reviewer & surfers..

Thanks!

Anyone else?

From the sounds of it, you should be looking at TGSW (Server Version)

I take it you mean CPU Usage? I have no idea how well it will run on an NT system, but I have never heard of anyone having a problem running it on a dedicated Linux box and still serving pages. Run it on a shceduled service at say, 4am and you should be fine.

To run it remotely, use the server side version, but again - check into the NT compatibility.

Not that I know of. I know TGSW does take a lot of setting up and the database update is a must (I think they're giving it away free now).

Only other one I can think of is Linkup Pro, but I don't think it can do what you want.

I have the same problems form galleries submitted with russian submitter - it's down to the users not updating their recip directories/databases.
