Wynn in Vegas is niiiiccceeee

Checked in via the tower suites entrance separate from the main entrance. Room is massive. Got a Tower Suite Salon for my stay. Waiting on roomservice now before I go explore a bit downstairs.

I don't. Too much damn walking.

Peaches 05-11-2005 05:34 AM

We just got back but never made it to Wynn. What are the crowds like? We're thinking of hitting it this summer when fewer people are there.

I hear there is a Ferrari dealership in the Wynn..is this true?

If so, they REALLY don't want you leaving with their money, lol!

Fred Quimby 05-11-2005 06:32 AM

CDSmith 05-11-2005 07:12 AM

No crowds at all last night and this morning. We'll see how things are as the day goes by. I'd read that they are completely booked for several weeks out, but from looking at their web reservations, etc, and the looks of it here, I don't think so.

Just myself and my oldest son's fiance this time and only until Thursday afternoon. I couldn't pass up Stevie Nicks at Caesars or a chance to check out Wynn, midweek.

Stevie Nicks? Well okay then.... I completely understand now. That woman's voice is... well, there are no words to do her justice. :D

directfiesta 05-11-2005 08:11 AM

Check out the show... Amazing... From an ex Cirque du Soleil developper ...

A lot of the big shows are from up north....

It's great.. strip view. Well.. until the Venetian finishes their new tower.

I didn't bring a digital camera just a regular one. Pics will have to wait until I get back home.

Axeman 05-11-2005 08:58 AM

That hotel does look amazing. I may stay there next time, I love the golf course at the hotel idea.

Staying there in 3 weeks for memorial day weekend can't wait

Sosa 05-11-2005 08:35 PM

OzMan 05-11-2005 08:40 PM

NaughtyRob 05-11-2005 08:41 PM

I have not checked it out yet, I try to stay away from the strip especially on weekends.

The Tower Suite Salon that I have is $850 a night. Quite a bit cheaper than the Terrace Suite at the MGM that I usually do.

The only complaint I have so far is that I've not had very good luck with any of the food at Wynn. Heck even my dinner at the Palm in Caesars sucked tonight. Even had a favor pulled in from someone to get a late table booked.

SleazyDream 05-11-2005 11:50 PM

sweet. make sure you take and post pics.

i should have gone to stevie nicks - great artist.

KRL 05-12-2005 12:40 AM

I wonder how many more hotels Vegas can really handle?

There's got to be a point where there's not enough marketshare to be split up.

Wow! We ate at the Palm Saturday night and everyone's food was fantastic. They must have had an off night when you were there. I've heard from several people to stay way far away from Charlie Palmers though.

Now the REAL question - does Wynn have a Casino War table? :winkwink:

Not only another hotel, but another Cirque show, lol! That makes 5 in Vegas now.

marketing propaganda. someone did their job by so many people hearing that. it will sell out for memorial weekend if it already isn't.

Didn't see one, but I'm not big on any table games other than roulette so I might not notice. I'm pretty sure I was that at MGM when I was there mid-April. You could call the casino and find out I'm sure.

tonkagunner 05-12-2005 11:44 PM

Wynn sucks. I went there and everyone with me thought it sucked too. We were all scratching our heads trying to figure out where the 2.7billion went. The waterfall thing is ok, but I could hardly see the water. There was hardly anything in side from shops to restaraunts. Most of the shops are for crap like dresses and jewelery. The Ferrari dealership was ok. The casino floor has real low ceilings and is smoky. I did see a topless girl at pool, though.

I guess the hotel rooms might be nice, but the rest sort of sucks.

It was worth going and checking out but I honestly will not bother staying there again. The food was bad.. some of the staff is fairly snooty. Sure I stay in VIP and spend some money, but I look like the average PK (except for the watch and the jewelry). Dunno how many times I got stopped going into the section where the Tower Suites elevators were to be asked if I was a hotel guest, or if I was staying in the Suites section at all, etc. Even had some ask to see my room key. The slots seem to be stingy compared to the MGM and Caesars (where I've played before).

I'll stick with a Terrace Suite at the MGM thankyouvellymush.

SleazyDream 05-12-2005 11:55 PM

I'm not going back either. If they re-do it inside and add some stuff I might check it out again.

One night's stay will buy a digital camera that will allow me to NOT have to wait until you get home to see the pics, damn it! :)

I'm an American... NOW is what I demand! No waiting! :)

Well I guess that blows the title of this thread all to hell :D

Snooty staff you say? That's it.

note to self: Vegas is a no-Wynn situation.
