bit torrents going to waste lately?
 

What's with all the bit torrents being stuffed into EXE files and stuff lately?

I used to get tons of my fav tv shows by bit torrent and now they're either exe files that I don't want to run or zip/rar files with ads in them... with comments about clicking on some ref code link for some non-sense.

What happened to just getting an avi or mpeg and calling it a day?

i haven't even been able to find many good torrents lately. everything is slow, and most things stop downloading before i can get the whole file. it's a downward trend i am not happy to see.

Yeah, I started grabbing an old movie I wanted to see again.. was downloading over 100k/sec and then it just stopped dead at 42% and never resumed.

i don't know what the deal is. i have a 1.5 gig documentary on joe strummer i've been trying to download for almost a week. it stopped at 85% for like last 5 days. the trackers is giving a response, and the torrent health is nominal. i just don't get it.
