Hemp: it ain't just for smoking

http://www.healing-source.com/products_hemph.htm

Read what's on that page before commenting. Seriously... for the typical "fatfuck" webmaster out there, eating hemp hearts could very well be your salvation. Hard to argue with all the nutritional benefits of it, so today I started on it myself.

Now I can just imagine the comments...... "Waste of money".... "It's a fad"......"you're stupid"...... and my personal favorite: "your a looser" etc etc etc.

All I can say is... READ THE ARTICLE.

Read other articles on it... http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=hem...hoo%21+Search+

Not trying to convince you, if you're not into nutrition and new things that might benefit you that's fine. But if there are even a few people out there who find that being a webmaster/webmistress has meant having a slightly "less active lifestyle" than they previously had, this could be a way to recoup some of the health loss you may have been suffering. Add just a bit more exercise to the equation and you're even further ahead.

But hey, if you're not into it you're not into it, no big deal, move along then. But if a natural source food supplement like this with all these health benefits is something that intrests you then by all means check it out further. I will be putting several spoonfuls of it on my morning cereal from now on, but you can add it to pretty much anything, and it has little to no taste. I eat cereal anyway, so it's not a huge imposition for me to add hemp hearts to it.

Hemp is a miracle crop. Not only can it be eaten, it makes the greatest rope on the planet, great paper, and countless other things. Not to mention, it's actually one of the only crops on the planet that IMPROVES the quality of soil it's planted in. Could you imagine having a source of paper that's renewable every year? It makes no fucking sense whatsoever that we cut down trees that take decades to replace.

It was outlawed in the 30's, right after DuPont got the patent on plastic. That's why all the marijuana hysteria was created. Profits were better making disposable products from oil and trees than they would have been making them from hemp. What a sick world we live in.

Basicly every crop is a miracle crop. It just happens to be that millions of dopeheads consider anyhing related to hemp cool.

Some people try to know what they're talking about before they make a comment. You should try it.

NICE.

Not only can I smoke it, I can use it to be tied up or to tie someone up, and I can eat it and drink it too.

Sweet.

I haven't smoked dope in any significant quantity since the early 80's. I've probably had a few tokes maybe twice in the last 5 years.

Fact is, at first I thought hemp hearts was about smoking hemp too, just like you. After I read up on it though I quickly changed my tune. The unshelled heart has nothing to do with smoking or getting high at all, rather it's about nutrition.

Read a little on it, it's.... surprising to say the least.

hemp isn't weed and you can't smoke it and get high.

When reading an article, always keep in mind what the source is. In this case, almost all material on it comes from those trying to sell it, either directly or indirectly.

By the way, the price on that site is a complete ripoff. You can get the stuff for like $3/lb.

Cool calling Hemp seeds, Hemp hearts to help them sell. :thumbsup

There is plenty of medical articles and health care pieces written on it all over the place. It's nutritional and health benefits are well-documented, and not just by sources that sell it, but if you still feel suspicious and hesitant feel free to visit your local health food store and talk to the owner and see what he or she has to say about hemp hearts.

And.... why say a price out there is "a complete ripoff, you can get the stuff for like $3/lb." but not provide a link or any way to prove your claim?

Hello?

No really....HELLOOOo?

Actually, I haven't paid for any of what I have. I got it given to me by my rather health-conscious brother. When I do start buying it I would certainly be interested in getting it for the price you mentioned.

Most seeds have big health benefits, and hemp seeds honestly aren't all that much better than other kinds.

As for the source of my claim: my local health food store. Where I do most of my shopping.

Is that your opinion or do you have anything to show me that supports what you're saying? Are you saying sunflower seeds have the same kind of nutritional and health benefits as hemp hearts? Poppy seeds? Pumpkin seeds?

To me, results speak louder than words or unsupported opinions or even written articles. I'm going to use what I have on hand for the next month and see what changes if any are noted.
