Godaddy.com hosting problemo?
I setup a virtual acct with godaddy for a business-related site I want to develop, entrepreneurforums.net. They have a setup option for a webportal php page through geeklog. I set it up but the page resided at http://entrepreneurforums.net/geeklo...tml//index.php
I didnt want the portal to be within a directory called 'geeklog' so I said fuck it and went to install it myself.
I open PuTty and cannot telnet into the server.
fuck...
I emailed their cust. support and advised I need ssh access to install geeklog (per Geeklog's instruction)
They email me back the following:

Thank you for contacting customer support. We do not allow telnet or SSH access to our shared hosting servers. If you wish to install this application on your own, you can manually install it within a specific directory in your hosting space. However, you will need to access your hosting space via FTP and install it in your hosting space. You cannot access the server-level files for our hosting plans. This is done for security purposes and will not be changed. Please manually install the application in your hosting space.
Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

I might be alright with ftp but it was advised to unpack the program via telnet (as winrar has corrupted the program before)
