Tell me about Luxembourg
I've never been to Luxembourg, but I have the opportunity to go to there sometime in the next few months. I'm not sure what I will do there besides wander the streets and look at all the beautiful scenery and architecture.
What are some things I should make sure that I see while I'm there? :helpme :helpme :helpme |

i think its beautiful there in the summer time.
:2 cents: |
Its a fantastic place, the people are sweet and its a culmination of many European Cities and very beautiful. The love partying/drinking and its the only place i know that had Cartier next to a supermarket :) Lots of icelandic, french, german, belgian, scandinavian people with about 200 private banks in the main city. The gare (where the bus station is located) has fantastic hookers and its a very lurative city with hardly any beggars :)
The main city is built on the ruins of a castle, with the lower grounds "grund" being very chilled and the whole of luxembourg is intensely beautiful |
I didnt like it.

can someone outline the advantage(s) to luxembourg banking?

Hi Brisk,
I live in Luxembourg. It's a beautiful city with friendly people. I read somewhere that it is the safest city in the world to live. You'll be surprised at how sexy and pretty the women are, more so than any other city I have visited. I guess it's because rich men marry horny women :-) Also living in Luxembourg, within about an hours drive I can be in France, Germany, Belgium or Holland. The best bit about Luxembourg (for me anyway) is the Cuban cigar prices. Because of the low taxes, cigars are very cheap. A Cohiba Siglo V is only 16 Euro's :-) |

If you are into cigars you might want to visit the 'Havana Lounge'. It's in the Hotel Sofitel located on the Kirchberg Plateau in the financial district of Luxembourg. It's designed in a Cuban 1950's style with leather armchairs etc. and a big humidor built into the wall with a good range of cigars. I spend a lot of time there :-) There is an Irish pub called The Oscar Wilde situated in the Grund that is not that well known to tourists but is always busy and very friendly. A couple of sites you could check out that are in English are http://www.station.lu/ and http://www.352.lu/ - they can tell you what's on when you are there.

Its very very expensive...if you go there for vacation don't forget to go loaded...
