how do you keep a laptop on straight for some 10 hours? like a way to connect it to an electrical outlet and have it not use up the battery?

it's got an ac adapter, its plugged to a wall outlet. yet it still uses up the battery and shuts off every couple hours ;o(

try looking in the BIOS, there might be something on power saver functions.

It can be a combination of Bios and power configs. Call their support. I am too drunk to tell you how to fix it.
