Best homemade way of cleaning laptop LCD?
 

Using water leaves a light film/haze over the surface -- So just water/cloth doesn't work well.

Any homemade solutions that clean the LCD well?

I've used a 50% solution of isopropyl alcohol and a lintfree cloth - it works great.

I use my hand.

I heard alcohol isn't good for LCD's with a plastic screen.

Any other ideas?

Dunno. I know Apple and several other manufacturers recommend using it, so it can't be all bad. I haven't had any problems with it, but it might be different for your screen.

yeah use those microfiber-ish cloths. they work well at taking the dust off. if you have other crap on your lcd i don't know what to tell you....except that alcohol thing is probably a good idea.
