"Revenge of the Sith" video game....
If the movie is anywhere near packed with as much destruction and mayhem as this game then it should rock the freakin' house.
The game is like watching the movie but you can take part in it. Everything is awesome. Not too hard for kids yet fun and challenging for adults. Not for gamers who want ungodly amounts of challenge. You get to kick some major Sith and evil robot ass in this game that's interspersed with footage from the movie. I can't wait to unlock Yoda and get my shit off. Typical Jedi game, you wander around kickin' ass and usin' the force and you gain more abilities along the way. The extra cool things are the models move like they do in the movie! The swordfighting is just like the moves in the movies. Graphicsa re awesome and sometimes it's hard to tell between the live action film and the actual gameplay, which has been a bit of a problem because you're sitting there watching a clip from the film and then you segue' into the game and don't realize it's the game. Meanwhile robots and sith dudes are takin' shots at ya. Fun, and worth the dough. Can't wait for the movie and can't wait til it comes out for the PC. When it comes out for the PC I will rejoice cause then I can mod the fuck out of it! |
mace windu keeps kicking my ass
|
I picked it up this afternoon and have been playing most the day. That is a HARD ass game.
Also... I can't get it to work so my brother and I can play together on the same team. It will let us fight each other, but not on the same side... what gives? |

I kicked Dooku's ass on like the 7th try but the 1st try I almost had him. The trick is you gotta move out of his way and renew your health and keep at him. |
Bought it for my Son yesterday and he hasn't stopped playing it, funny thing is that he has a cast on his left hand and it doesnt seem to hurt anymore or interrupt his play at all? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Maybe it's because I've played so many Star Wars games I just know the routine by now. It's basically, run to , run away, cut, kick find shit, blow up shit. As for multiplayer go to your manual to page 15. Look at 'COOPERATIVE MODE' that's your answer for what you want to do. Multiplayer has 'VERSUS' mode and 'COOPERATIVE' mode. How's the sound on your systems? Do you get that awesome THX shit goin' on? |

We have kids in our neighborhood who ain't got fingers and they'll rock that fuckin console like it ain't no thang. there are kids in hospitals who use their feet! I've played so much on a playstation I have literally played Oddworld games while ASLEEP. Girlfriend sat there and couldn't believe it. I was in the chair a sawin' wood with the controller in my hands and she turned on the game and I was rockin'! When I woke up she was sittin' there laughin' her ass off. She even called her mother while I was playin asleep. |

COOPERATIVE is what I am selecting but it's not allowing it to happen. Hmmm. |

I'm at the part where you fight General Grievous the cyborg jedi dude thing. The battle scenes are outstanding. If the movie is a 10th as action packed as the game suggests it's gonna make like $300 million the first week easy. |

Oh fuck no I ain't fightin' that ugly fuck if he's got FOUR lightsabers! Finally found a game I thought no sadist programmer had a hand in and look what happens. I did enjoy killing Dooku though. Can't wait to get to Yoda. |

there are some screen grabs and videos of the game here. |
Fuck General Grievous!
I got so pissed off at him I just whooped on his ass til the screens kept changin'. When he broke out them four lightsabers I said 'fuck it!' and opened up a can of asswhup. It felt good when he died. If that wasn't bad enough, then Mace Windu shows up. I thought this fight would last 4 days or more. He started kickin' my ass like a redhead step-jedi and then after we went out the window I found a glitch in the game!!! It allowed me to recharge and then it was slappin' homeboy and his purple lightsaber allll over the monitor. That was cool as fuck! Then comes the slaughter at the Jedi Academy. That shit is breakin' my heart. If they show this shit in the movie it will be awesome! After you kick Mace Windu's ass you become Darth Vader ( without the costume ). I can't wait to see what's next. I hope there's a fight between Yoda and Palapatine. That would be fun as fuck! |
I know I should not get but probably will :winkwink:
|
Remember after you beat the game you can come back to the mission select screen to play the unlocked levels. Like the Alternate ending. The future you know the battle scene in the Death Star were they meet for the last time.
|
Game is pretty cool, but the fact that you can't control the camera pisses me off.

One thing I have a talent for is finding glitches and codes in games. I'll never forget one day many moons ago, I was playing Game Gear's " Terminator 2: Judgement Day ". It was impossible to get through that game. Guys would throw the whole system out the window on the highways and sure enough along the Taconic Parkway you would find a Game Gear every day. It took 3 years to get through 70% of that game and there were no Game Genie codes. Then one day I sat down and in 45 minutes found the code to prevent bombs from affecting you. I was overjoyed! After that, every game I've played and really gotten into I've found flaws and cheat codes others didn't know of. It's fun to find one and then unleash that cheat to the communities. You can feel the joy when guys have been playing for months and had to wait for cheat codes to come through. |

Yooo!!! This game gets berserk as you go along!
One of if not THE best Star Wars game ever was called "Masters of Teris Kasi". It was a one on one fight game and it kicked ass! Now this new game has a bit of it in it. I'm in the Jedi Temple fighting Searra and when I grabbed her and used force lightning you could see her skeleton light up! That shit is fierce! I'm sittin' here killin' Jedi and listening to the 'Beatles' station on FM. It's so funny to slice up a Jedi and then hear "Sgt. Pepper" playin' in the background. Yo, those big blue guys with the dual lightsabers? Just throw your lightsaber at em'. btw, the eerie thing about this game is how good you get and how easy it is when you use dark side powers... |

You seem to be pretty enthusiastic about this one, Commando is a great title as well. I'm knee deep in that and KOTOR2 and a few others at the moment. Trying to put off playing more of Sith until the movie comes out, but the previews and this thread keeping pushing me to it. |
If you guys have "Jedi Academy" for the PC, there's a mod coming out, a total conversion called "Knights of the Force" at www.kotf.com
It's supposed to come out this month either just before the movie or just after it. |
Yep, "Knights of the Force" is due for release any day now.
That's what I like about games for the PC. You can change them, add on to them or use their basic source files to create a whole new game. I bought Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy and they're non-stoppable because every other month there's a new mod or conversion out. I pasted pics of friends on all the jedi characters and it's funny! Also added music to the game, backgrounds etc. Really personalized it. |
This game WAS fun until after all this fightin' and shit you have to fight this one Jedi Master dude who no one ever heard of before. He looks like the stunt director for these Star Wars movies so I guess that's it.
This game suddenly has more damned control combinations that no human yet evolved can figure out less much remember. I'll probably win by just beating the hell out of him with no skill whatsoever but sheeeesh... |
