FREE photo gear to the right newbie.
 

I'll probably kick myself later for doing this since every time I have tried to help somebody over the last 6 months it has caused me headaches...

And they do say that no good deed goes unpunished...

Oh well. I remember what it was like to be the newbie with limited funds for equipment.

So.....

A couple of years ago I stuck 2 studio strobe units in the back of my garage to collect dust. Well, they have done just that and now it's time for them to move on. I have since upgraded to better equipment and although I could easily get a few hundred for these on eBay, I figure I would prefer to help somebody out with them.

Nothing special but I have 2 Britek strobes with model lights, stands and soft boxes to match. I'll even throw in an IR remote trigger system for them.

Newbie photographers / content providers who are interested should let me know. The first person who I feel will make the best use of this stuff gets it all for free.

You will be paying S&H though and I will only ship to the U.S. because I hate dealing with customs.

Anybody interested?

personally, there is only one newbie on the scene that I think is worthy...James White...that boy works his ass off and is seeming to do all the right things...he has even found 3 new models recently, and from the pics he showed me, they are gunna go so far...but he just told me last night he lacks good photo studio equipment to get the shots done...so, i am letting him use one of my old cameras, but he has no good lights.

anyway, i sent him this thread...he posts on here, just not too much

i would say me, but i know there are probably lots of content providers that would make better use of it then me... although id like to learn how to do photography

Well, to hell with false modesty, I am going to put myself forward for a change, as was only this morning thinking I need to get some lights from somewhere, and while I dont belive in fate, the coincedence is just too high to ignore.
OK so im not a newb, but without giving too much away on an open forum, I could do with a break right now
Why ? Because for the last 7 years i have devoted myself day in day out to my wifes careeer, and most importantly, to her presense and internet sites... Just before Xmas last year she left me, and I no longer have any control, finacial or otherwise in the stuff Ive worked so hard to create... So, in order to get baack on track, and start from scratch, some lights would be lovely :)
If doubt that I'm the most deserving of all possible people, but hell. If you dont ask you dont get, so there yah go... Flame away, whatever, I'm in LA and would love them !
If so fantastic, and if not... Im no worse off than before :)

I may not be a Newbie to the industry, but I am a newbie when it comes to Content Production. I am getting more into it and those lights would do wonders for the content I am shooting for my sites and for some companies I am producing content for. I have good equipment, just do not have any Lights yet. I have the models from my site adultxmodels.com and have been shooting a bit, but need lights for better indoor pics, I am looking a launching a content site later this year.

I hope you would consider me, if you need any info or want to see some work let me know!!

I would love to begin doing such, wanted to do camera work as a hobbie, Seems like everytime I got a camera in my hands I become a new person and will get that extra courage to get ppl to do dumb shit for me to film.. 20D blows the D70 away. Hands down.

If you are having problems with the 20D then you should upgrade your firmware.

yeah, but the 20d is almost twice the price as the d70 now...so, unless you are pro, the d70 is a lot more economical
