Opening a hosting place
 

If I where to start a web hosting business and wanted my site to look (or be as good as)
like www.isprime.com approx. how much would I have to pay for development???

If i was you, i would look into reselling for someone before you plunge in.Hosting is a very expensive business and if you are not on top of things it can spiral out of control real quick.Reselling will give you experience running a hosting business before you dive in real deep.

pornsuite developed the ISPrime site... 100% Flash and database driven. It cost 'em 8 grand.... and was a screamin' deal.

You want that kinda work,... you better have some cash bro.

That site is so sweet I just stare at it sometimes.

That site should've gone for $15K bare minimum. It took a month to develop. I've done $5K sites in 4 days.

I tough Richard from AWI (an old moderator) made it?

I heard this design went for 25k. It was done

moose has a Very Good Point Webhosting Takes alot of money and time to start and you cannot do it yourself you will need accounting person and a Technician Person. Too that is good at both windows and Unix.

First of all, I have to say, it is probably on of the most beatifull sites I have ever seen.
But:
1. It does to support non framed browsers.
2. In IE 5.0x you can not see bottom part of pages, for scroll bars are disabled.
3. Frames+Flash=0 search engine traffic.
4. 15% of non Flash enabled browser will not see it.

OK, you can attack me now.

There's a couple other glitches in it too...

so reselling is a better way to start unless I have tons of cash to spend? Now that I looked around The competion to resale is vast, it was just a one crazy thought.

and you are saying that fart pornsuite developed isprime.com? wow, that's .. shocking.

I wouldn't believe that unless someone from that company confirmed it, wouldn't it be possible he was playing a trick on AMP like he did with everyone else?

Anything's possible, but I've seen some of his other stuff too.... and there's no doubt they were all done by the same person. They all have that twitching image style to them.

pornsuite may have fucked up in his hosting endeavors, but if anyone thought that was his only gig, you were sadly mistaken.... he's a kick ass Flash designer and believe it or not, a pretty damn intelligent guy.

i have a couple of VTC's for flash but nothing i can share that would be pirating sorry.

yep he got 8k in credit with isprime, but of course we all know he trippled that with his 404's

My advice is simple - the hosting business is anything but easy or cheap when properly done. I suggest, like the other response in here, that you do begin by reselling. And, don't be the cheapest or most expensive. If you think you have a reasonable chance at being successful see if you can resell under your private label with a well respected adult hosting company.
