Adult Legal are selling stolen content

Anyone had any dealings with these people?

http://www.adultlegal.com/

I bought some content from them for $250 It seems it may be stolen and they had no right to sell it. I have been served a DMCA notice.

I have emailed them 10 times with no reply. I have phoned them 5 times and only got through twice. At which time Mark said he would get back to me and never did.

The owner who says the material is his, has emailed him at least 20 times, with Mark at adult legal replying when he first stated, but now ignoring him as well as me.

Mark on the phone told me the material was OK, but apparantly told the producer that it was a mistake and they shouldnt be selling it and that he would sort it with me. But has done nothing, not even reply to an email

Now they are still selling the content and they wont tell me if its OK for me to use or not. Ive waited three weeks before posting anything on the boards. Be very carefull buying from these guys, they are either very incompetant or are knowingly selling stolen content. Either way watch out if you intend buying content from them

Brad Gosse 05-06-2005 05:17 AM

I am sure there is a logical explanation for this.

Adult Legal has been around longer than most of the folks on this board and they have a solid reputation.

I have spent over a million dollars with this company in the last 7 years and they are honest and reliable. I can't think of too many other companies I would vouch for as strongly as Adult Legal.

I am sure this will all be worked out for you.

teksonline 05-06-2005 05:52 AM

who served you and for what sets?

wjxxx 05-06-2005 06:07 AM

Premium sig spot

:pimp :pimp

Homer 05-06-2005 06:16 AM

I think that they are honest

Bomber8888 05-06-2005 07:40 AM

I'm sure there is a good explanation to this.... Mark has been straight up for many years and I've spent a good load of money in Adultlegal... Look forward to hearing the explanation.

Sounds like a mix up, in the mean time check us out.

Johny Traffic 05-06-2005 08:39 AM

OK. I have the response from Mark, after two weeks and my partner sending him 20 or so emails and making phone calls. Plus the owner sending him at least 30 emails (he cc'd them to us) he responded today, after I posted here (though Im not commenting on whether or not that is a coincidence)

Please note. That I understand that we all make mistakes. Its when you are being told the content you are using is stolen. You want at least a response from the content broker. Especially when they respond to start with, then just stop replying. Then not returning calls. That was my main beef.

Yesterday receiving the DMCA notice and still no response from adult legal was the last straw. But they have contacted me, just now and I feel its only fair to them, to let you all know that they have appolgised for not contacting me (the reasons given were spam filters on there email and taking down my phone number wrongly) and will be replacing the content. Which has also as been removed from there site.

As a side note, Mark explained to me how they happened to be selling the unlicenced content, I believe him and believe it wasnt in bad faith, I dont believe they were on purpose trying to sell stolen content.

But lets hope he can fix those spam filters and take down any numbers correctly in future

Manowar 05-06-2005 08:43 AM

Damn. Bump for you man

Brad Gosse 05-06-2005 09:31 AM

I just knew Adult Legal would come out of this with clean hands. I am glad everything was worked out for you in the end :)

well geeez, I was hoping for a better story than that. At least a good story with some details of what happened!
This thread is turning out to be nothing more than a dry hump!
Lotta teasing and excitement, with no resolution.
Ho hum.....guess I'll go back to reading the cereal box.

damonx 05-06-2005 09:57 AM

I would guess it was a mistake of some type , adult legal are good guys

VeriSexy 05-06-2005 11:37 AM

That really sucks, hope they fix it for you :(

Johny Traffic 05-06-2005 12:07 PM

O.K everyone Thanks for your interest and thanks for those who bumped the thread.

Adult Legal have now resolved the issue. infact they have offered to replace the $250 of content with $500 worth of content as a way of making it up to us.

Credit is deserved where credit is due. They made a mistake, they have now corrected that mistake and have offered to compensate us.

So a happy ending :)

johnnyhey 05-06-2005 12:10 PM
