Kazaa has been sued for copyright infringement ...

The program itself might be going down, no more downloads if they lose against the court, the community will be really hard to bring down.
Kazaa is a distributed DB that was thought of with this situation in mind, with napster, you had to connect to their servers and a lot of info went through them, that's why they could be held liable and asked to stop what went through their service. With Kazaa, the "Servers" are standard computers, which act as "Supernodes" all kazaa installs make your computer a supernode, which you can turn off through the interface.
