Do you believe in horoscopes and astrology?

For example by the date and time of my birth I'm a LEO. :upsidedow

And you know I've noticed, that some things, written in horoscopes about me, are rather truthful.

I watched some of my friends - for them it works also.

Even girls become easier to understand, when you know who she is by the horoscope. :winkwink:

And even all that stuff about couples in astrology is truthful very often.

Have you ever noticed these things? or you simply don't believe in such things? :Oh crap

klinton 05-05-2005 08:34 AM

I am virgo but I'm complete looney, and not always donw to earth ;]...
but I'm also very annoying perfectionist some times, so...
you can always find some true in sth if you will look for that.
if you have read Wilson's 'illuminati' triilogy you know what I mean (23 ) ;].

Cirrus 05-05-2005 08:35 AM

I do believe :)

I do believe as well, but not always :)

Sometimes they're writing bullshit, but sometimes I can find something very interesting :)

I haven't read Wilson's 'illuminati', but I think I grasped the point.

I wasn't looking in horoscope for smth about the person, but instead I've noticed that some features of character are similar to people, who were born in summer for example or in winter.

It's some kind of life experience.

But this experience sometimes lacks smth, and then horoscopes can be helpful, when you are trying to predict person's behaviour.

I just think that all the stuff connected with astrology and horoscopes is just people's experience, based on their knowledge.

So it's not magic I think. :winkwink:

While I believe there's possibly some physical/biological way that people born at the same time of the year might have common characteristics I don't believe in "daily horoscopes" that predict anything about your day.

Ha! :1orglaugh They are just stupid!

And in one magazine I used to read they just mix them up. So one horoscope was for different people on different days. :(

Shame on them :1orglaugh

Astrology is one of my hobbies. The stuff you read in the papers is crap. The real science of astrology is extremely accurate and very useful. Everything in astrology is based on mathematics, astronomy and the influences of electromagnetic energy. Interpretation is based on 5,000 years of event patterns related to the geometric positioning of the planets, sun and moon in relation to each other and to the individual energy pattern which is created at the transistion moment of your birth.

Its for the lost / weak minded. Not that there is anything wrong with it. Some people just need that sort of assurance.

DaddysGirl 05-05-2005 12:31 PM

I think it is very interesting, but I wouldnt live my life by it...

I'm not so patient for such researches and just have no time to do it :Oh crap

But I think it's interesting and can be helpful in finding out things about yourself and (which is far more important) about people around you ( girls, co-workers, business partners e.t.c.)

From my own experience I know it helps much in relations with girls :winkwink:

clickhappy 05-06-2005 01:26 AM

Adulter 05-06-2005 04:19 AM

no :)

saw the paper ad like "creative people wanted for horoscopes writing"...

Shoehorn! 05-06-2005 04:33 AM

I find numerology much more interesting and accurate. :2 cents:

Alex[XXL-Cash] 05-06-2005 04:40 AM

I don't believe in it. At least I don't pay so much attention to the horoscopes.
But I'm Gemini and sometimes can recognise Gemini among people. I think there are common features among the same zodiac.

dalila 05-06-2005 04:47 AM

Im Leo too... sometimes I feel like reading my horoscopes but I never do it intentionally to know the forecast for the next week. For me believing in astrolology its like believing in fate. And I don't believe in it. Read "Devil in Paradise" by Henry Miller. really awesome book about sad consequences of living a life acccording to what is written in your horoscope .

The same with me :)

But I sometimes believe in fate and this kind of things. :Oh crap

Scott McD 05-06-2005 05:25 AM

Nah, i don't see how any of that shit could actually work...

Drake 05-06-2005 05:29 AM

Horoscopes? Not at all... they're always so vague they could apply to anybody. They're like fortune cookies, just a cute superstitious gimmick.

E.Kant 05-06-2005 05:35 AM

SOmetimes when I read charctestic issues about each signs they seem to be correct , otherwise I dont like the idea of having someones future written in the stars ..

I rather like the 'you are the designer of your own luck/misery' philosophy ..

I don't see any difference between numerology and horoscope. :)

They are just the same - in the first case stars influence the destiny, and in the second - numbers. :upsidedow

Platinum Red 05-06-2005 06:22 AM

I am an aquarius... and I must say that i do belive in the horiscopes though not the daily ones in the paper. Without the zodiac i would be lost when it comes to my son he is a capricorn and i have never known one of them! so it is good to get to know personalitys

Homer 05-06-2005 06:35 AM

IceMaster 05-06-2005 07:44 AM
