UK Polling Day - Have your say

I just voted - so the GFY opinion poll stands at

1 for blues

Remeber if you are in the UK to vote, not bothering waves your right to complain, demand or even have a view.

Lots of people have died over the years so we can tick a box so get off your PC and walking up the road is not a lot to ask....far better then been asked to jump off landing craft in 1944!

2 for blues

Johny Traffic 05-05-2005 07:05 AM

I voted UKIP as a protest vote. Its a forgone conclusion that Labour will win, but its worth the protest vote in my opinion.

So UKIP for me. Anyway I couldnt bare seeing Michael Howard walking around in that pink shirt, untucked out of his trousers, with no tie on any more. Some marketing guy tells him wearing a pink shirt with no tie will win some housewifes over, and there the smarmy git is.

fraggle 05-05-2005 07:12 AM

well im in moscow so coldnt vote
but wouldhav anotehr for the blues for sure

not a chance i could ever vote labour

Well IMO it was a waist of a vote,
If You Don't like Labour then you need to vote conservatives!
If all the people that done a "protest vote" voted for conservatives then Blair would be out of the job.

I don't like Howard either but he would do a much better job than Blair!

Your opinion is wrong. I live in a conservative stronghold. The conservatives will win this seat without a doubt and by a long way. Voting UKIP is a way of showing the Conservatives that they need to change there policies not labour.

ListYourPorn 05-05-2005 07:46 AM

well what ever happens non voters can not say a thing ;-)

the UKIP guy lived outside our area so not a hope of a vote

Tytan 05-05-2005 07:47 AM

Labour rules & we're gonna win by miles

evanmorgan 05-05-2005 07:51 AM

oh god, this board seems to be full of tory scum...LOL Our local veritas candidate looks like a tranny, ill be voting labour....the economy is what the country is about, not some soppy little war, if you want britain to succeed then a vote for the torys is totally out of the question.

Damian_Maxcash 05-05-2005 07:51 AM

The only two parties who can win both supported the war anyway. So if you liked the war or not, the next goverment would have done the same thing.

Project-Shadow 05-05-2005 07:57 AM

Conservative all the way... Labour will most probably win. The only chance we have is if all the single benefit moms decide not to vote today, because there's an all day special of Big Brother or some other complete bullshit.

granted but i know a lot of labour supporters migrating to the lib dems because of the war, this could prove a costly mistake

Yes, but I think on the day, they'll actually realise that buy doing so its a vote for conservative and will then vote labour. I think the win will be much bigger than the poles suggest. People like to protest but not at the extent of letting the tories in

Blair will win. But either way, the conservatives would have done fuck all Im afraid. See my vote above, that you called a waste. This was your chance to let the tories know how you felt. If you want them to really do anything in power or in opposition, then you shouldnt vote blindly. Let them know that if they want to get in power again, they need to have a long hard look at themselves and change the party. Putting on a pink shirt and taking off your tie isnt change, its called pandering to the marketing men.

evanmorgan 05-05-2005 08:16 AM

jayjay, why are you voting tory when you could just vote BNP and have all immigrants beaten on the streets? Seriously, is immigration the only issue. If it is then you should understand that howards ideas arent actually that radical or different to the other two main parties

I live in a very safe tory seat too. Fuck Winston Churchils son in law is my MP. Tory will win here by a mile, so I always vote for something obscure. UKIP this time.

evanmorgan 05-05-2005 12:11 PM

actually ive just found out my seat is 20th on the labour target lists, local election is almost pointless though, the labour candidate lives 2 doors down and i feel for him, because people just vote tory blindly

I'll take the bait :)

Only people in Sedgefield have a choice to vote for Tony Blair. The rest of us vote for our local MP. The MP's then in turn vote for the goverment including the Prime Minister. Us voters dont vote for the Prime Minister.

Round here UKIP is close to taking over the third position over Labour. They got nearly 1/3 of the votes that Labour did in the last election. Lots of people make it there protest vote. But the Tories will win here by a very long way :(
