How often do you turn ICQ/trillian/IM off??

the only time it goes off is when my cable drops me.

pretty much only when I step away from the computer for extended periods of time (sleep, etc)

I put it on invisible all the time so people don't bother me.

Although i don't go as extreme. I just set all to "away" status so people will still see me online but when they message me i can just play like i amr really gone.

I only turn a messenger on if I've previously arranged to have a conversation via it. Otherwise everybody can leave me alone :upsidedow

There's no need to. My ICQ has been turning off by itself for last couple of weeks.

Mine is off 24/7 unless I need to talk to somebody. I used to keep it on all the time and just coudn't get anything done.
