Chappelle's Show is a no go, bitch!

In a surprise announcement Wednesday, Comedy Central announced that the highly anticipated third season of Dave Chappelle's will not make its May 31 premiere date.

"Comedy Central has suspended production on the third season of Chappelle's Show until further notice," network spokesman Tony Fox said in a brief statement.

You know if you watched that 60 Minutes piece on Dave, the clue might be right there:

He said that no matter what now, his farm is paid for and he can do what he wants.

The DVD deal is huge money for him, and he's a very thoughtful cat in real life. (listen to his KCRW interview...very interesting) I wouldn't be surprised if he just said "Fuck you" to the whole thing.

i doubt it is as sinister as it sounds.

To play devil's advocate no such thing as bad publicity, if the show is delayed for whatever reason this keeps interest alive, and if it really is as bad as it sounds, best of luck to him.

Either way, I dont much personally care, I'm not a huge fan, although some his shtick is pretty good. :thumbsup

Dave isn't a drug addict (drugs other than weed I mean) and I don't believe he has AIDS. I know him, we aren't friends but we have a ton of friends in common and none of that rumor madness has ever gotten back to me.

It is good publicity though. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear reports of him checking into rehab with Whitney Houston (even though he doesn't need rehab).

This delay was seen MONTHS ago unless this is a 2nd delay its not news (yes i saw it on yahoo too but thats dopesnt make it news).

1.hilarious guy gets a cable show.
2.He gets a few thousand an episode and its his big break in lfe.
3.Charly Murphy tells some stories about Rick James.
4. The Rick james stories are put in the show.
5. Funny guy gets a contract for $50 million for 2 years.
6. Because he is discouraged that he can't compete with Rick James and has a fortune to spend he is disctracted from work.
