    Progressive Display JPG's -

    Anyone still use 'em?

Do we just not notice because we're all on highspeed?

I just saw a random Nubiles.net gallery that had the big pics on progressive display and I felt like I was back in 1998. (Nubiles kicks ass, btw).

Seen 'em around from time to time.. not sure if it's on purpose or not.

yeah I always cring when I see them. Has anyone else noticed a whole bunch of designers that are too young to remember people still use 56k. See 100k animated gif banners set at 256 colors all the time! Great designer... too bad you're not a WEB designer or you'd have known that progress jpgs don't show up untill the entire thing is downloaded in IE. It's only Firefox and N-E-T-S-C-A-P-E that show them progressively (I sounded it out for you great new designers... don't worry if you don't know what netscape is... it's not important anymore).
