Great idea! If you're serious about marketing ANY product it's always a good idea to experience the product. :thumbsup

If you order TWO porn packages a month from DirecTV it will be more expensive than the XTV membership. I have DirecTV and dont think it comes close to XTV.

:2 cents:

That's why we're coming out with Mainstream offerings .. plausible deniability.

XTV Networks is just one of many networks that we'll be offering through our ITVN Networks ...

What kind of mainstream stuff? Can you tell us in this thread how the box gets the content once subscribed?

A C 05-04-2005 10:48 PM

Way I would push this, or try to anyway, sell a couple small hotels on the idea, get projected revenue graphs etc, then take it to a BIG hotel, holiday inn or something.

Great then, thanks for visiting the thread lol.. The rest of you enjoy your boxes and the $$ that you will be making from them as well!!

MickeyG 05-05-2005 06:51 AM

any plans to raise the monthly recurring for affilates? $3/mth from a $30/mth sale just isn't enough

sherie 05-05-2005 07:03 AM

Not atm, you are getting $35 per free join plus recurring, I think that's a pretty good deal. I'd like to know where you are getting $35 for a free join plus the bonus of recurring....

Here's a quote from the PR "Networks but ALSO on additional news and sports channels being added to ITVN?s revolutionary hardware. Based on consumer spending for these services through cable and broadcast companies today, this recurring could be as high as $7.50 per month per subscriber for the lifetime of their subscription."

MandyBlake 05-05-2005 07:03 AM

how have you done on it so far?

First I'll explain how the box works. Our first generation box is solid state (meaning no moving parts and no storage) and we stream the content from our servers. We're also able to flash the boxes with updates on the fly. So this means that although users who receive the box today are seeing certain "startup" screens, whenever we release new updates we're able to push them along to all our users immediately.

Users ordering their box today only see XTV. However, our parent company ITVN is in the process of signing licensing deals for other services such as local news from around the world, sports, music, file sharing, and other services where interactivity is key. We believe that a new ERA is coming and we're trying to set a standard. We should all be able to watch what we want and when we want all with the push of a button. If I want to see the 1982 superbowl, I should be able to watch it now. Or if I want to watch an old music video from years ago, I should be able to watch it now.

XTV is only the start .. lets imagine where TV programming will be in the year 2010 .. exciting times :thumbsup

BTW, it's refreshing to see your enthusiasm for the product :)

Smart thinking AC! Already in the works :winkwink:

Aside from our cash program (which we're JUST now launching) we've been busy inking up deals with hotel chains as well as adult stores.

Have you tried XTV? Live TV doesn't allow you to skip forward (unless you have TIVO .. our 2nd generation box coming soon!) and neither do the XTV channels. However, if you purchase XTV PPV titles they're yours to keep for life and you can skip, fast forward, whatever you want. Also our 3rd section is Pornholio interactive .. I know damn well DirecTv can't touch us there. :thumbsup

Mickey,

I know Sherie has touched up on this but I'd like to add a few points. The reason why XTV is becoming so successful is due to the massive amount of content we're able to offer our subscribers. The reason content providers are jumping on board comes down primarily because of the money we pay them. This money comes directly as a set percentage of the recurring income. I know a lot of you figure "but I'm a valuable webmaster .. I want want want" .. but there are other entities who need to get their piece of the pie. Of course we're not saying our webmasters aren't important .. without them the cash program wouldn't be anything .. but there are other things to consider. Besides, as Sherie pointed out .. $35 per FREE TRIAL **PLUS** a recurring income on something that users keep for years is a pretty damn good deal. We're fronting $215 ($180 + $35) for every free signup webmasters produce ... sorry if that's not enough in your eyes.

Miss MandyBlake,

So far the response has been better than expected. But then again I rival Juicy for good looks and Sherie is the queen of the damned .. so I'm not too surprised. :1orglaugh

Actually things have been an uphill battle. This industry is funny .. everyone always wants to talk about "how long they've been in adult" and all their great ideas .. but as soon as something new does come along, these same people are quick to throw stones. The important part is that everyone involved with XTV believes in the product. Anyone who actually orders and uses our Network has been impressed every time. Future plans are to build upon the same ideology. In the end though, time will tell.

detoxed 05-06-2005 05:22 PM

I was more wanting to know how the box gets any information. What is the box plugged into that allows it to receive information?

pxxx 05-06-2005 05:26 PM

Not bad, i know someone that is promoting them, but i never bothered to ask for conversions.
