can someone tell me how do I get a screen capture from a movie?

Here you go.. Right click on your desktop, hit properties, then advanced, then troubleshooting. Slow the hardware acceleration down to nothing.

Open your graphic software (ps), and take a screenshot with the video playing.

google a program called "snag-it" and download that.
