daeeeemn. i wonder if there was something already wrong w/ the plane which forced him to land fucked up... or if he was just being a jackass and didn't land correctly.

yeah it looks like there was already a known malfunction.. the dude who sticks out his head from the side looks like he knows... then he tries to climb out once he realizes he was fucked LOL.

Well, I don't think they could really ask for a safer way to crash their fucking SeaKnight. I mean, it looks very likely that everyone could have survived that.

Looks like the back wheel got tied up on that gaurd rail and the turbulence rolled them back words from the force of the landing gear hydraulics.

Yeah it does look like they were bringing it in as an emergency landing, note the rescue boats waiting, the hands on the deck (excuse the chio talk), and the guy almost hanging out of the window to look at something.

On Dec. 9, 1999, a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter, with 18 people on board, crashed while attempting to land on the Navy tanker PECOS (T-AO 197) during a training exercise. The chopper's landing gear apparently snagged a metal safety net and the helicopter flipped over into the water and quickly sank. Eleven Marines were rescued by special warfare crewmen on two nearby boats. But six Marines and a sailor drowned, their bodies recovered later from the sunken wreckage by an unmanned submersible vehicle.

Yea I thought those two boats off to the side were Navey SEAL boats.. as far as I know the SEAL's are the only ones to use those. Nice to know at least some of them lived.. That had to be hell to get out of with that many guys on board
