HELP! Car care gurus. RE: Scratches

What can I do to get rid if a bunch of swirls and surface scratches? Some fuckwit waste of flesh scratched out trunk lid and rear corner panel up prety good. I just noticed it today. Wasen't there when I washed and waxed the car 2 weeks ago,. anywho...

Would a glaze work on this or what?

What's the best product and methods to use to get rid of these damn surface swirls and scratches safely as well as removing raised "pits" in the whole bottom side of the doors on the car ( feels like sand paper in some spots but looks shiny like new) from road grime and a harsh winter?

You need a compound ! Its gonna be like a new after :)

It's probably better to take it to a bodyshop and let them cut polish it

buff your car most places will do it for about $100 bux

cars have clearcoats on top the paint.
Buffing the clearcoat will bring out the true colour of the car once again.

Can't go wrong with buffing, trust you'll be happy

yeah get a compound, try to work the scratches out. if that doesnt work, take it to the body shop

Go to the autostore and ask for a compound to get scratches out. TurtleWax makes some, there should be a ton of them.

Dude, don't get a compound. The juice aint worth the squeeze. You are going to be taking layers of your clearcoat off when you might not have to.

Get the Zaino.

If its not too bad, try eagle-1 nanowax

I use it on my bikes, gets rid of swirl marks and shit and leaves a wet looking mirror shine

I would suggest to buff it really really well.. sometimes it will totally take the scratches off.
Good luck
