Real Life Hobbit Colony Found In Indonesia
 

My girlfriend read me an article from a paper which recounts a claim by an indonesian paper that there has been discovered a colony of over 70 families of tiny people "Actually Living" on a remote island in Indonesia (Flores).

I cant find anything on the web about this but ive just seen a program on it on National Geographic. All I can find on the web is the earlier discovery:

There's news on them all over the net.

They were about the size of a 3 year old child. They hunted pigmy elephants that grew to around 1200 pounds. They had tools, they had fire. They lived till about 11 or 12000 years ago when a volcanic eruption wiped them and the elephants out. We don't know if modern man ever interacted with H. flore. but they are looking for evidence now. It's the form of modern human that has lived the longest side by side to us as Neanderthal went extinct almost 30,000 years ago so this raises a LOT of questions about where these mini people came from, how they got there, how we'd never found them till now, and lots more. It's really all pretty fascinating.

Yeah I've seen this shit on national geographic channel.

They were wiped out by a volcanic eruption, even up to as recently as 12 thousand years ago.

I would love to find out more info on this, but if it hasn't been reported anywhere on the net & so far the only source is a UK newspaper...hrm. Which paper was it? The kind that report Michael Jackson is an alien & Elvis was spotted at the local 7-11?

To clarify my gf read this story to me from a newspaper she picked up in Hong Kong that recounts a claim from an Indonesian paper. I have no idea about the full details but I know it is a very recent discovery that is "claimed" and that apparently these tiny people have managed to survive all this time - hiding away from human civilization.

The report also said that there are over 70 families in total and that the worlds scientific community was taking great interest and investigating the matter more closely.

You either misread the article or it was fake, they did find the skeletons but they're thousands of years old.
