Say goodbye to the last source of decent American television news.
How sad. PBS was the one place you could watch TV news from the US that wasn't completely embarrassingly apologetic towards the government and major corporations. NOW was one of the best news shows in any country. That's all about to change.
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/02/ar...erland&emc=rss Get ready for the dumbing down of PBS. As if we don't get enough moron's opinions of White House press releases from the other "news" networks. Say goodbye to to America's last source of investigative journalism, say hello to another source of good looking idiots reading the news wire and press releases. Hey maybe they'll start reporting on women who don't show up for their weddings, wouldn't that be special. :helpme |

What Do I need PBS for?
I get all the news I need from some dumbfuck canadian kid spamming the porn boards. |

You don't need PBS for anything, we all realize that you're a CNN/Fox baby. This thread isn't directed at people who don't understand the difference between models reading que cards and real news. Move on to the next thread, your crying really gets old fast. |
The 24/7 power of the Net has killed the regular TV news biz. I know I don't watch network news anymore and most people I know don't either. Even CNN and FOX need to start staying on their toes.
The Net is realtime news reporting and that is what 99% of the people want. |

SPAMMER! 10,000 post on GFY and nobody knows what you do for a living. rich, people in United States are a lot smarter than you, I'm pretty sure everyone can get and decipher news without you helping them. |
yeah, being pro government under clinton and anti government under Bush is what liberal scum call "impartial"

Several people know what I do, unfortunately clowns who come into all my threads and do nothing but cry, don't. American's don't get news on TV any more, there's nothing to decipher. They get opinions based on press releases. I realize that you only started watching news this decade, but in the past, say 20 years ago, America used to have the best investigative journalism on the planet. Now they have nothing, just rooms filled with models blabbing on about bullshit. It's a shame, and now the last real news agency in the country is about to go the same way. I'm sorry you're incapable of understanding the problem. There's no way to get news if no one is investigating, get it? Nothing to decipher. What you call news is really just people talking about nonsense. Fox and CNN don't produce news, they read it and give you their opinions. PS, we all know you're such a big player in this business, you should really learn what spamming means. |
PBS is lazy reporting
Check out Lou Dobbs on CNN.. I think he's pretty consistently unbiased... |

PBS was the opposite of lazy. Watch some old Now with Bill Moyers shows, he was the best journalist on the air until he retired. :2 cents: |

No Rich is in the Porn Business. He has claimed he: 1) Owns the two biggest casinos on the net 2) Owns Stock in the two biggest casinos on the net 3) Sends 2,000 signs up a day to programs. What I think that translates to? - Kid that flunked out of college and lives with parents while promising them he will get a job soon. |

I'm a communist because I want real journalism? You really put a lot of thought into that, didn't you. It's hilarious to watch clowns turn an issue that should be important to everyone into lame partisan bickering filled with childish insults and rhetoric. They've got you fools right where they want you, keep watching crossfire, you're doing a real service to your country by blindly supporting one political party or the other. :thumbsup |
I get all my news from The Daily Show.
They tell it straight..... What they make up can't compare to the real news anyways |

Way to make things up. What's a "2,000 signs up" BTW? You're like Pathfinder only less intelligent, you should be proud of that. |

You might not have 50%+ of the voting population believing that they found WMD in Iraq. The best part of the daily show is when they show the ridiculousness of the news networks. Last week or two weeks ago they showed a clip from CNN of two people arguing about whether gays should be allowed to adopt kids. The women against it said that a study showed that kids were eleven times more likely to be molested with gay parents. Of course the guy in favor of gay adoption said that he had never heard anything like that. The survey was actually just done by some nutcase using lexisnexis, it was completely false. The CNN "reporter" ends with "two very good arguments" or some bullshit like that. Stewart started yelling at her, "you're a reporter". It was classic. He often says exactly what I feel when I watch network and cable news. Watching CNN and Fox makes people stupid, period. I think it was Yale who did the study that found that people who watch the Daily Show were more informed than people who watch Fox news. Now that's a sad state of affairs. |
Go back to your igloo and mind your own business Canadian faggot.

Stewart is very cool. I also liked the segment where they likened President Bush and his nominating strategy of that UN guy with the hairy moustache to the fact that "Bush has HUGE Balls" and will do as he pleases no matter what others think. More classic Daily Show stuff! |

And meanwhile, for those who were listening to PBS/NPR during the Clinton years, it was a TOTAL shill for the Democrat party line/talking points. Even the new head of PBS/NPR that recently took over did a study that found bias in the choice of stories covered and the wording of reports and interview questions, very scewed to the left. He has been working to balance it out over the last year or so.... |
Quote:
The new head of PBS/NPR admitted that he had never listened to or watched the stations he was put in charge of. I'm shocked that his study found a liberal bias he's decided needs to be "balanced out". |
When I think of PBS or whenever it comes up in conversation, the first thing I think of is Bob Ross the afroed white guy painter with the soft-spoken voice...
"Yeah.... a happy little tree lives right there.... and here's a few of his happy little friends over here enjoying the shade...... yeah....." That guy rocked. |
Lol.... This thread is funny...
