relocation to eastern europe - help needed

Hey GFYers,

I am considering relocation to Eastern Europe and would like some information about the process.

Is work in the marketing, promotions and design side of the industry plentiful there?

Eastern Europe isnt one country, there are quite a few countries, asking hows the Is work in the marketing, promotions and design side of the industry plentiful there is kind of like asking hows the Is work in the marketing, promotions and design side of the industry in south America.

Its going to vairy. What country are you thinking of going to?

Dude all they had to eat till a few years ago was a turnip. Table manners are not that important when 20 of you are sitting down to one turnip :upsidedow

yeah it all depends on what luxery you want... if youre thinking of Prague or Budapest, I can assure you costs of living there is the same, unless youve got a penthouse in NY, Bulgaria is cheaper but a whole lotta different. If youre willing to do dialup and live in the middle of nowhere 10k will get you a nice Slovikian farm...

life is pretty cheap there
and make sence to live there if u are working not in the office

Also the most of the guys have no idea what they are talking about.I had a friend of mine here for some visit last week (he is from US - doing marketing shit for fleshlight) - he told me that he is really surprised that Czech is pretty developed country and Prague is very modern city. The ussual US citizen have no idea where Czech rep or Hungary is so how they could possibly know anything about living here. The most of US people never left thier country so .......
Czech rep , Hungary , Poland + Slovakia are the highest developed countries in central Europe (out of those former USSR satelites). You will be very comfortable here - no need to worry.
just to let you know

I've got plenty of experience in the industry here in North America, a couple of degrees in communications, have written for several publications and am looking for a new set of experiences outside of North America. I'm ready for a whole new set of living conditions and to help apply my skills (unique) to a company in need of creativity.
