Seperate IPs for Subdomains?
If its possible is there any bonus to doing this for example if you have a site that rely heavily on breaking up its niche sites by subdomain?
|
Its possible but not sure of benefits

It's possible, but I don't really think there is any benefit to it...

sub domains are not very google friendly. If your're gonna do anything...do different domains for each genre and each have unique ip and all interlinked to eachother....if you'renot gonna go that far...then just have it be a directory and google will like that better than the sub domains

now are subdomains treated like different domains. I know having the same ip on multiple domains obviously doesn't help pr/ranking. Does this also occur on subdomains. Will it hurt anything if I use the same ip on the same domain and subdomains?
