They would have a lot of lawsuits naturally....but they would most likely have a Grandfather Clause for websites that were previously registered for a set period of time (10-20 years).

I believe there will be a browser block for adult sites before there is an implementation of necessary xxx domains.

It would be easier for parents/schools/etc. to block out adult content too. Which is excellent.

in order for that too happen all the international countries would have to come to a consensus...it's not like the country tld's where each country owns the domain name.

.XXX with the current sponsor (the ICM registry) will not happen, not this time and probably never. ICM cannot meet ICANN's technical guidelines first, and they have yet to be approved ethically.

Also, the people claiming to currently own .xxx TLDs are in for a shock, under ICANN's rules those domains will have no rights on an official TLD, so unless they get hits currently, they are worthless.
