Hun, about offshoreclicks and my email
 

Ok, babe, I have emailed you today about this autorun, forcing the start page thing, asking for your help in getting a link or something so that I can find some way of finding this guy that is doing this to people's pcs. Not only surfers, but webmasters alike.

You see, I have been after this guy for quite sometime now. I first became aware of it a couple of weeks ago as a result of a surfer calling our support and asking how to fix this, it had messed up their whole damn system. The Varadox Team as well as Offshoreclicks have been working VERY closely to find out who is doing this. We have watched every move made everywhere. BUT until we had someone come forward and help us find a link or something to go on, we had nothing. Both companies have ALOT of people to go thru. I have literally spent every spec of time I have as well as bugged the living hell out of anyone who has any remote idea of this situation. There are a few of the people here that can attest to this.

As I told you in the email, we do not condone or tolerate the autorun of our dialers. You will be glad to know, and I honestly thought it was about to be a hopeless case, but we found him today. Offshoreclicks and I were going thru dialer after dialer, account after account, stats, server stats, EVERYTHING we had at our disposal, and somehow or another he found this person and grabbed the code off the site. In examing this code we managed to find where he was forcing the dialers to run and the start page to be reset.

I know this in no way helps those who have been hit by this kid to date, but his account has been shut down and all money involved is NOT being paid. If you want his head on a frying pan, email me and let me know, I will more than gladly hand him over to you.

I am sorry it has caused you trouble or anyone else, but I couldn't just pop all over the place screaming for help, I didn't want him taking it down before I caught his nasty little ass, but he's mine now and I will gladly share him with ya. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/wink.gif

Tam, thanks for the explanation... Problem with offshoreclicks is that the only way people can get out of the consoles is by shutting off their machine (most surfers don't know how to press ALT-F4 really fast). A assumed the auto-running of the dialer and bookmarking and stuff was offshoreclick's practice 'cause I remember seeing it on a lot of occasions. And popping the consoles the way offshoreclicks is doing isn't showing too much respect for the surfer, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were behind it.

The thing that made me fed up with the consoles was one guy changing all thumbs to link to offshoreclicks instead of to the picture. My robot picks this up in 10 minutes or so, but I get a lot of complaints from people. And I know nobody makes sales from those clicks, it just pisses people off. Now if this could be in any way be explained as being against your TOS so people don't get paid the problem would be fixed: there's no financial interest in screwing the hell out of my visitors (I don't see how building a gallery, submitting, waiting, changing the gallery and then be kicked off in 5-10 minutes can be lucrative BTW), and you won't get my "unproductive" traffic... both parties happy... I'll reply to the e-mail as well. Maybe there's something we can work out

Well, like Tam said.. we found the code being used to alter start pages to the dialer and will deal with it accordingly. Hun, you have mail.

Don't the consoles stop at 4? I've never had to shut my computer off. Why not just hit the x to close the windows that appear?? It is not an endless loop.

Just for the record here, I am being hammered with a "who is it, was it mine" thing. I have alerted the reseller he was working with and this has been dealt with properly and harshly. If I didn't contact you then it wasn't on you. LMAO

evildick, that's what mine do, and as long as they don't put them on the pics on the galleries, I let them go..... but to each his own. Everyone has their own preferences as to what they like and dislike I suppose. LOL

While I agree that this could get quite annoying, not everyone runs their sites like that and MOST wouldn't even consider pulling something so underhanded as this. They have to know they will get blacklisted and won't have any income from their galleries for very damn long. This is what I don't understand about why people cheat. I would much prefer to have money for LONGER than just today, makes more sense. I have had some that will pop every damn sponsor they have on every pic, and trust me they get one nasty "Rude Bitch" letter in their email along with a blacklist. But not ALL people cheat.

Offshoreclicks was not behind this deal at all and the instant this person was found he was terminated by not one but BOTH of our companies. I will be sending all my resellers out a message today with his name and an alert that if he even thinks of using a Varadox dialer, he will NOT get paid, autorunning our dialers will NOT be tolerated, I could give a shit less whether he makes 5000 minutes a day, a cheater is a cheater and I won't risk our entire company for ONE cheater. It just isn't worth it, I like to think we run a pretty tight ship and we are very strict about the rules we do have. I don't even look at how many minutes they have or make, if I catch them cheating they are gone. Bottom line.

I am sure there can be something worked thru all this, it isn't like ALL people who use our program are cheaters. In fact I have less cheaters than most because I have some very good resellers and webmasters that will alert me, yes even if they catch their own people cheating, so I have to give a thumbs up here for all of my people.
