I saw a benchmark test between some high-speed SCSI drive and the WD Raptor..of course the Raptor blew it away.

There is *no* 15K rpm SATA drive :2 cents: only SCSI.

I havent heard of this ether - besides the jump from 10K to 15K would be huge for platter speed - as well issues of balance - etc... physical limits are coming into play - if you want real speed - the ultimate in speed - you should really look at Solid State Disk technologies - expensive - but fast as hell:

the 15k drives are real flaky. they seem to want to burn up in less than a year. :2 cents:

Alex Xe 05-01-2005 01:01 AM

If you want 15k HDD, order scsi hdd's.

pornguy 05-01-2005 01:18 AM

Just make sure that if you are going to burn the cash on a drive like that, that you get it in a terrabyte size.
