What's are the top funny films from the 1970's?

I think Animal House (1978) must be one of the best.

I think if you look at it, it was the film that kick started all the comedies in the USA from then to now.

I bet without Animal House, we would not have got films that we have today.

I also always got a big kick out of the "Confessions of__" movies with Robin Askwith as Timmy Lea :upsidedow

The only film with him in I thought was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

But I checked and he was also in The Italian Job and Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines (1965) plus a few others.

A couple of others I thought of (and both have cool tunes too):

Rock 'N Roll High School

M*A*S*H (1970) was great, and the Cheech and Chong movies were a riot. The 70's Monty Python flicks and Mel Brooks films are also classics.

Still, Animal House (despite an over the top ending) remains one of the top (if not the best) classic comedies of the 70's.
