took the golfcart around the neighborhood, found 42 unsecure wifis
so its a nice day here in myrtle beach, and in the town i live in you can drive golf carts on the road if you pay for a city stamp (30 bucks) so they are everywhere.
i dont own 1 yet (might be my next buy, these things now come in 4x4 and are gas powered if you want to get into all that) but a friend does.
he picked me up, and we are going to his house to work on a few changes on a few of his sites, so i grab my lappy. long story short on the ride there i grab a connection. so, just fucking around, we decided to check out the area.
so, in an hour of fucking off we found 42 unsecure networks that we could do anything we wanted on. found alot more total, but 42 that we would have no problems logging into (linksys routers 192.168.1.1 and change there settings!?)
so. heres what im thinking.
a van, a computer nerd a knock on the door. hi im joe blow with joeblow computer security. we noticed that you are currently powering an unsecure network, we can help you to stop this from becomming a problem
and have a tech guy explain all the down falls of what they are doing and ofcourse fix it right then and there.
seems like this would be easy money, it would be an easy targeted client supply, and would actully be doing a valued service.
ofcourse we drank a 12 pack while riding around, so i could be buzzed
