Question to fathers who had no father of their own.

When you give your son what you lacked do you ever feel sad that you missed out on all of that?

I find I'm dealing with that more and more now as I get closer to my son.

It's a bit difficult to deal with at times but I just put that energy into caring for my lovely son.

You just have to turn it from a feeling of disappointment into a feeling of triumph. It's not difficult to do.

No I just beat my kids like I know my father would have beat me.

I feel bad about missing out on things I offer my boy sometimes... not often, but sometimes. I actually think that having a dad that was gone most of the time has helped me to be more conscious of how I behave as a father to my boy.

That's a really possitive way to look at it actually.
