Have you also considered protecting your sites from spoofing? Those password protecting systems is not worth much against that, if the spoofers know what they are doing. In fact google is worser than password forums.

Spoofing?

Maybe you should know what someone is talking about before you tell them to fuck off.

If you are inside a member area and surf from lets say index2.html to index3.html, the password software "think" you are authorized because you are already inside and "logged in". Same goes for linking to external bonus sites; if you came from a certain URL, the external site think you are authorized, because you came from an authorized URL.
It works somehow the same way as sending false bot hits. Some sites are protected from this - many aren't. Its not hard to protect yourself from this, but you need to know the existance of it. So next time you check your member stats, and really dont understand where all those IPs came from, look closer into this :winkwink:
