Just bought Half-Life 2
 

Finally playing this bad boy, yeah i know it's been out for a while but been busy. Anyone else pick this game up?

it was 55 bucks, i think that was for the collectors ed. it's delicious so far, the graphics are incredible. i don't really get motion sickness from playin these, so hopefully it will stay that way

HL2 is a great game, and the mod community behind it means there'll be new stuff coming out for it for years to come.

Some people complained of motion sickness in some parts of the game. Personally, I didn't have any problems.

I really enjoyed that game actually, particularly the ending in the tower... man it's impressive. The levels are huge.

It's a very good game, not worth all the "oooh and ahhh" and stuff but great still

Have you played Counter-Strike Source yet? It comes with Half-Life 2.

great game, I was a little suprised with the ending, it was far too easy... but I only bought it for cs:source :)

yeah, I found that too.. I had to really try wild stuff to die... I could have finished it without dying once if I did stuff appropriately.

Well I fucking thought HL2 was GREAt, but I could only manage to get half way through without hating it from all the head problems it was causing.

Man that made me feel terrible. damn it.

it has a warning label on the box, it's not intended for weak minded people :D

I thought the game was incredible awesome (albeit playing in a business laptop with sub-par graphics).

You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Oh and if anyone wants to have some fun with hl2's physics, download this mod for it

Manipulate rag dolls, build complex scenes, put characters into sexual positions with one another - It's a barrel of laughs. Oh you can also make the characters make some pretty funny faces as well.

on normal... the game is way to long to go through it a second time on a harder level.

HL2 was fun, my current game is Splinter Cell Chaos Theory besides Dark age of camelot...

parts of the game are pretty tuff

I am running a machine with 2 6800 Ultra's in SLI mode and played the entire game in 1920 x 1200 with full detail.

Was a lot of fun.

Easily the best game in a while.

I run the same res with a ATI 850XT and 23" LCD. ;) Those dual card setups are not worth it.
