slight dizzyness after 2 hours behind the pc..

i hate that shit, happens 9 outta 10 times... when i work (or just fuck around) for 2 hours straight on the pc i stand up and im slightly dizzy... is this shit normal? :disgust

Are you sitting in a comfortable chair? Is your screen at a good distance and at the proper height? I get this when I'm brilliant enough to want to use a recliner and my head is tilted upwards to look at the screen. Also, try to take breaks in between - it helps.

no, that's not normal..
If you have that more often I would go and see a doc
I spent 10-16 hours a day on the pc, and I feel fine :)

Do you blink while you're sitting? :winkwink:

Actually, could it be an issue of sitting too close to the monitor?

Do you get dizzy when waking up and standing up for the first time in the morning. Or when sitting watching TV?

Fetish Gimp 04-29-2005 08:17 AM

Yes. It happens when you don't change your focus point for long periods of time. http://www.nfib.com/object/IO_16099.html or google "reducing eye straing".

Or it could be a brain tumor.

sometimes... usually when i get up in normal-mode to work at home. When i gotta get up fast to get my ass to college cuz im late again (thats everytime i have college) i dont really notice it, i guess cuz of the distraction of doing the morning routine in a very short period of time

I can tell you that becoming dizzy after standing from a sitting or lying position is sometimes an indication of orthostatic hypertension..You should start by having your blood pressure checked.

Simply means a persons blood pressure drops suddenly when they stand up. This is what causes the dizzyness.

just drink fluids while you work or listen to music, that should help

I have the same problem..and after seeing 2 docs about it..found out it is actually fairly common and mostly benign. Just take your time when standing up!
