Running of The Bulls (San Fermin fest) Who's going this year?
 

Since I didn't get gored the first few times I ran I'm going back this year to temp fate. Anyone else going? Maybe a fun place for a gathering... "Running of The Webmasters"

July 6th - 14th Pamplona, Spain

Oh... that's the corner where most of the bulls fall into a wood wall. All the photogrphers site under it and shoot through the gap or over the top. Some of the bulls fall down and break from the pack... this is when it gets VERY dangerous. You DO NOT want to get between the bulls and this wall or your in a world of hurt. :helpme It's not so bad when they are running together, but when they are apart you have to watch your ass.

Then right after this corner it is a straight run (long ass run) to the Plaza de Toros where the fights happen all day. You can't do the entire run, not possible so you pick you streets but if you are in the last straight away, there is almost no escape unlike the early streets where you can jump out of the fence so you just have to dodge them and hope for the best and that no body trips you by mistake.

I ran it a few years ago, scary as fuck but yep a great rush.
Not sure if I'm going this year, I've moved further south,
used to live close to it.

The tomatina is near me, so I'll probably go there this year.

There's the Denia festival where the bulls run at you on the harbour, you dodge them and they jump into the sea, that's always good fun.

The whores are GREAT there. Since it's such a huge event whores from all over come and place a shit load of ads in the newspapers. You go to their apartments and they have anywhere from 1 girl to 10 girls you can choose from.

Price was $30 - $40 and the quality was pretty damn good. The worst I nailed was around a 8 on the hotness scale. We would wake up at the crack of dawn, run with the bulls, eat and calm down a bit from the rush, e-mail everyone to tell them we did not get gored that day, go fuck whores, eat again, start drinking... maybe fuck another whore and then go catch a music act somewhere in town. Repeat every day for a week.

Last time we flew from there to Barcelona and went to some SEEDY corner (don't remember name but it was low class) area where they had tons of Euro girls and Africans. I mean SEEDY man... real seedy. Not Phnom Phen pull the shack door down behind you and frisk you filth, but pretty dam close. I took this African girl up to this apartment where we sat in line with about 10 other couples... all waiting for ONE BED. After about 45 mins it was our turn and the 50 year old NASTY transvestite who was running the joint took us to the room, bed soaking wet from sex all day and handed us 2 pieces of tissue paper to clean up with. lol I'm sure anyone living in Barcelona knows what I'm talking about. If I remember right it was close to a China town. My buddy took his Euro girl to another room and had to wait over an hour for the bed.

Anyways... backing up a bit for another whore story since you have me thinking about the whores on that trip... before we hit Pamplona we hit Paris and my friend (local) took me to this park at night they called "The Woods" where they have 100's of mini-vans parked along the side of the road with candles and lanterns inside. Inside each van was a whore or 2 and you could walk or drive around, find your van, get in the back and fuck. Good and cheap, mostly big booty Africans (my favorite) and the selection was almost mind boggling. The girls all sit in their bra and panties and wait for you to approach them, showing off the goods in the meantime. Good shit. I want to go back there and film because it must be seen to be believed. :thumbsup

Dude... almost EVERYONE is drunk (not I... fuck that) and running. It's insane.

The best advice anyone gave me was this: Always keep a drunken Spaniard between you and the bull.

The real bull runners that do it for tradition don't drink at all that day but tons of stupid run really drunk and that is why every year some of them, specially the turist, are hurt really bad and some have died.

I haven't ever been there even me living in Spain, but i plan to go one year, of course i won't run before the bulls, i bet it gives you a real rush but i value a lot my health to try it and probably i would be one of the drunk guys there if i go to San Fermin as the party is amazing.

Denia is in between Valencia and Alicante.
You can get the ferry to Ibiza from there aswell.
