funny thing is.... I was told very young, "You can do anything you want."
there were no exceptions to that statement. And it has guided me my whole life. but this is the one thing I've never been able to beat. For 23 years, it's owned me completely. If I can beat this.... and I will..... I can literally do anything. And I'm a dangerous mutha fucka when I got that kinda shit in my head. =) |
Ya can do it then.
The worse is almost over. A couple more day's and it will calm some. But you will remember it forever. I've quit for 2 years gone back and quit again and gone back. During the none smoking times the smoking will still wrack yer head. Its the fucken weirdest thing. I do wish ya luck. Wish me luck... I might quit I been thinking about it alot lately. |

My Stats:
Your Quit Date is: 4/11/2005 Time Smoke-Free: 18 days, 4 hours, 55 minutes and 37 seconds Cigarettes NOT smoked: 546 Lifetime Saved: 4 days, 4 hours Money Saved: $94.50 :thumbsup (from www.quitnet.com) |
Keep on keepin' on, man. Over 1 year here cold turkey. IMHO, that's the only way to do it. That partial quitting stuff never worked for me. I gave myself one week to psych myself up and been over 1 year no cigs. In fact, the smell of cig smoke makes me sick now. From my experience, it takes 3 months to get over the physical craving. Another 6 months to get over the psychological craving (ie., after meals, in stressful situations, when bored, when thinking, etc).
