Why do bodyguards wear dark glasses?

		well, I want to know
	 |

So they can scope you out without you knowing.
	 |

so you can't tell they are watching YOU =)
	 |

So you can't see where they're looking.
This is proven to increase the "intimidation factor" -- and is why they are recommended for women walking alone. j- |

i dont know too many bodyguards but i'd assume they wear them because they think they look cool. and so you dont know they're staring you down
	 |

yes my bodyguards are required to wear them
	 |

If they're the right kind of glasses, they also have small, built in mirrors on the outside right and left that allow them to look behind them. Seriously! Go look it up, I'm too lazy to google it and prove it.

The job is to be a bodyguard. The dark shades, the dark suits...... it's all about intimidation. You want your bodyguard wearing something fruity that makes him look like he'll get his ass kicked by a girlscout? I want mine looking like the baddest mutha fucka in town.
	Intimidation. |

 so they can fly
	 |

so they can keep an eye on you without you knowing it or so they can not be caught gazing at bustyliscious and bootyliscious babes. :)
	 |

 Nice.
It's common sense. Intimidation is a small part of it, and secondary. It's all about not letting anyone know where your attention is. ie. Where you eyes are. They should always be scanning, perimeter and the clients personal space. |

Depends on the person they're protecting. Bodyguards for celebrities tend to be big and intimidating, giving the impression that the celebrity is more important that they actually are. Dark shades help.
Bodyguards for politicians, dignitaries, royalty etc will vary their appearance depending on conditions. The idea is NOT to stand out! They will know in advance what the person they are protecting is wearing, and will dress to match them - if all the bodyguards are wearing dark glasses but the dignitary isn't, that makes it easier for a potential threat to single out the dignitary. Bodyguards clothing should be a similar colour to that of the dignitary for the same reason. Dark glasses are worn only if conditions dictate (eg bright sunshine) - hiding their eyes is rarely a concern. If they do wear dark glasses, you can guarantee they're very expensive and optically perfect.. |

 The intimidation factor

for the same reason poker players do
	 |

so you cant see the fear in their eyes

 looks good in black shoes

Why they are required to wear glasses? never heard of it.
and dark suits are normal only for those who protect politicians.. I read many people prefer a boduyguard that doesn't look like a bodyguard at all. As inconspicuous as possible. |

I wore a Smith 44 with 4inch bbl and frequently no sunglasses. Everyone said I looked extreamly sinister without the glasses! :1orglaugh
	 |

like cops that wear them, so they can look at you without you knowing where they are looking
	 |

do they all wear dark glasses??
	tony |

Because Kevin Costner wore them in the bodyguard

or maybe so that their boss wouldn't see that they are sleeping! lol

So you can't see where they're looking. if you can see them looking at you, you'll play it cool (if you were actually tryin to do something), so this way, they can see you and you cant see that they are on to you.
	 |

 they just wanna look cool

Most are robots, its a well known fact that the manufacturers of robots cant clone eyes. Ray Bans are far easier to clone. When they perfect the eyes, bodygaurds will no longer need to wear glasses

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue. |

So they can look in the oven and see when my pie is ready to be served without having to squint.

Blood only looks good on dark glasses.
	 |

easy question, they want to look cool
	 |

It's to protect their babylike, sensitive little eyes. Those poor, feeble men.

 Intimidation factor....
